Simply doesn't fit. Like some of the other 1 star review images. I bought 2 of these and both were way off. Almost $200 completely wasted. I want to love Berley Pro being an Aussie but I can't buy from them again after this.

First the fit is very loose ( picture taken before trying to reform the guard on Hobie PA12). There is no way there is that much variance in Hobie PA12 hulls/molds but that is BerleyPro's excuse. It would be easier to work it if it was to tight a fit in my opinion. Took me an hour with a high end heat gun to try and improve the fit. Tape can not close the gaps alone. Instructions are extremely over simplified and no suggestion for type of adhesive to use. The general statement "use a marine adhesive" is extremely vague as some of these adhesives are not compatible with ABS or Polyethylene. This looked like an easy quick installation, it is not. With out making a jig to provide the appropriate amount of clamping force you will end up with large gaps between the hull and the guard. $54 plus tax is a complete rip off. Obviously very unsatisfied. Probably could have done better myself with an oven and and a piece of Kydex but I thought I would save some time. I didnt. I hate leaving a negative review but wanted others to know the truth and save them some money and frustration.

A little difficult to disassemble, otherwise awesome product, not good/safe with windy conditions, will act like a sail and tend to tip you over sideways,go for a swim!

Concept is good, but unless you have a heat gun to help mold it tighter to the keel, it is hard to get a tight fit and you then have to fill gap with a sealant of some type (e.g. Marine Goo), which in turn can be hard to get a nice clean look.

It was a nice fit and then I sealed the the edges and it looks great to mw
