Great boots, fully waterproof and very comfortable
Bought these boots for my daughter-in-law (December 2024) and another pair for myself (March 2025). We have to walk through a woods path to get to shops and station so both needed good boots for wet and muddy days. I really love Merrell footwear (I have walking shoes, boots and sandals) and my daughter-in-law is now converted too. We both have high insteps and Merrell are very comfortable and supportive. These boots have remained waterproof and warm in all kinds of weather, they get through the mud easily and clean up well and I have been able to wear them all day at work - with a long walk to the station at the beginning and end of the day - without any discomfort. We are both very happy with this purchase.

Comfortable and sturdy
Comfortable and lightweight, good support inside the shoes and around the ankles. I've been wearing these out and about for a couple of weeks now and they've been great. The soles grip well on most surfaces. These are warm enough without being hot, and they are definitely waterproof as advertised! I wear a EU 43 size and these fit well.

after weeks of research I chose these...
I love my Merrell Boots. I bought these boots after a pair of my Merrell hiking shoes had finally died It took me weeks of research, if I'm honest, maybe longer to make a decision. I mean, there is a lot out there. So why did I pull the trigger on these? 1. It is highly rated among several outdoor blogs and reviewers. The company makes quality products and has for a long time. 2. they are comfortable and waterproof. they a bit heavy but fine for meas I walk daily about 35-50mins and I hike once per week in the UK, so peak district, yotkshire dales and the boots have been perfect. I did struggle with the arch in the boot my first time wearing them as i needed to adjust, but after that 5hour hike I was fine lol. So, if your arch is sensitive, like my wife's, I would recommend either the Time or Scarpa boot. 3. I had two previous Merrell shoes which I loved so I though how could I go wrong with the boots I love them and Highly recommend

Wet feet
These walking boots look great and are comfortable BUT they are in NOT waterproof. I have now treated them twice with nikwax and still getting wet feet when walking in wet grass.

TLWR? Scroll to last line
Last time I bought a pair of walking boots, I tried 7 or 8 pairs until I settled on Merrell Moab 2 Mid GTX. Shortly afterwards, I was on a walking holiday in Cornwall & missed my footing on a coastal path. Although I badly sprained my ankle, I’m quite convinced the support afforded by the boots prevented a break. Nearly a year later, my Moab 2s were looking worse for wear & beginning to split. The Gortex lining, however, stayed intact, and even though my boots looked pretty ropey, my feet stayed dry. I was a bit miffed they’d lasted less than a year & started researching other makes, but when I thought about it, I average 5 miles a day walking my dog, so that first pair of boots must have done 800-900 miles. Given the condition of the local footpaths and the scant care I’ve given those boots, I decided another pair of Moabs would actually be a good investment. I was even more delighted to find a pair of Moab 3s marked as ‘used, like new’, which clearly had never been tried on. To sum up, really comfortable and on the assumption they'll be as good as the last pair, hard wearing and great value (even without the big discount).

Merrell Ladies Ankle boots Extremely comfortable, chunky non slip sole
I bought the boot version of my Merrell shoes so my trousers would stay clean. Excellent fit , well made, and robust without being heavy. Good support for my pronating foot. Waterproof, ( they can be submerged in water to wash, and apparently can be re-proofed as they age.) I would highly recommended!
