Yes it is more costly than others, but it is heavier, very bright , reflective really works , water repellent. I’ve used it in misty rain at 40 degrees for a couple hours and remained warm and dry. Pockets are good enough to hold gloves and tobacco products. Sure, it’ll get dirty but I believe it will hold up better to multiple washings.

Jacket is comfortable and warm. The reflective strips are very helpful for outdoor work especially if you are in the dark in high traffic areas. Carhartt is just high quality and never disappoints.

When it comes to carhartt you get what you pay for. Its heavy very warm and havent torn through it yet. Not the easiest to keep clean but thats the beauty of being a tradesman

Nice Carhartt fit, good on over a long-sleeve shirt down to 7°C or so. Back is the same as the front, so not compliant with Canadian highway work. Right upper sleeve is branded with some US company name and slogan. Happy with purchase but it was expensive.
