Very sturdy box. Good size to store papers.

These are sturdy file boxes. I have purchased them several times. They look hood and hold a lot of files or perfect for storing items stylish boxes.

These boxes are very sturdy and excellent in quality and space. The only problem I have with them is that when you actually have hanging files in them the lid does not fit. It would be nicer if they had metal bars on the inside so that the lids could fit down securely and the entire file with its hooks and all would be contained inside…kind of like old milk crates.

This is a perfectly sturdy suitable file box. It is the right size, fits its job, and I love the lavender color. The handle is reinforced by a metal surround, making it easy to remove, replace and carry to a work surface.

Easy to keep clean and look great so don’t mind them being seen. Hold a lot. Made well. Bought in multiple colors (great for shoes in bottom of closet, too!). Stack them.

Exactly what I needed to fit in the Better Homes and Gardens 12 cube organizer from Walmart. It allowed me to move all my files from the rolling plastic file box that was taking up floor space. I didn't have any problems with the hanging file folders fitting, and they slide easily along the plastic lip covers that you install once you set the box up. Setup takes about 1 minute. I do not care for the label since I only have the one file box so I put mine in the cube label side to the back. I also sat the file box down inside it's own lid since I can't have the lid on top as I want my files to be open and accessible at all times just by sliding the box out a little bit, without having to pull the box all the way out to take the lid off each time. I did put quite a lot of files in there and the heaviness makes it feel less sturdy than I would like but I'm hoping to go through and remove and shred more outdated documents and relieve some of the weight. There is only so much sturdiness you can get from a collapsible box so I think removing some weight will help, but even with all the weight of a full box of files the structure is not compromised, especially for sliding and not carrying. This box was an excellent solution for the Better Homes and gardens storage cubes.

This box is well built, attractive, and a great value for the quality of materials. The problem is that, although the item description calls this a "Portable Hanging File Box," the lid is too small for standard-size hanging folders. You can press the lid down over the files, but when you open the box again, the lid catches the file hangers and pulls files up. If you use only manilla file folders, this box may work for you since standard-sized folders fit well inside the box (see photo). The problem I have with using manilla folders is that they constantly fall over or sink down (*tip: if you do want to use manilla folders, using a standard metal bookend can help keep files upright). Another concern is that a box this size completely filled with papers will be quite heavy. With hanging files, much of the weight rests on the sides of the box which is reinforced with heavy plastic. However, if you use manilla folders instead of hanging files, all the weight of the paper will be on the bottom of the box, which is not very sturdy. I think this could be a problem if you plan on carrying the box around much. Overall, it is a pretty box that I can use for other things, but without the lid, it is not useful to protect my important documents. If I could give half-stars, I would give this 3-1/2 stars for that; however, since the box isn't going to work for the purpose I originally intended, I have to rate it at a 3.

A4 size hanging folder does not fit. Its a bit big.

I got these to organize my under desk area which was getting out of hand. These were admittedly a bit bigger than anticipated but that's on me for not measuring. It ended up working out because I needed to store more than I thought! They will hold files as advertised. But are also sturdy enough to hold other keepsakes, journals, trinkets, etc if you just need some extra storage. I like that its closed off and the items aren't seen, except through the handle holes. I would recommend!

Expensive and no mention of the correct size for organising inserts. I purchased A4 and they do not fit, and you can't fit the lid on when using them. Very disapointed.

For starters, it does not come with any folder inserts. And for the price they charge….you think they could include that. Paying $50 for just a box is ridiculous. Secondly, normal A4 file inserts do NOT fit. The box’s width is slightly too narrow. If you’re going to be deceptive and include photos of files WITH box, you should include some that actually fit or detail in the description the actual size so people can purchase that right ones. Ontop of that, once you DO find inserts that somewhat fit (very hard to do), the lid does not fit at all. It is really only made to be a storage box. Absolute waste of money. Go and buy a cheaper option from Target. Totally deceptive seller.
