Lifesaver!
This small gadget saved us from buying a new washer (think a few hundreds $$)! The replacement process was pretty simple, just a couple of screws and a wire connector. The whole process didn’t take longer than 30 minutes including the washer recalibration. In the pics is the original part that needed to be replaced, the new one fitted just right! Can’t say anything about its longevity, it’s been only about a week. But so far so good! The machine performs well, as it used to. Hopefully it stays that way. Definitely worth the money.

STOP replacing your shifter and fix the real issue
After years of replacing mine, I finally found what was causing it to fail. It was a worn or bad splutch (or clutch). I replaced 7 actuators before I found the problem. My splutch was binding, which in turn puts a lot of stress on the shifter. If there's enough stress or resistance, it will break the tiny plastic pin ( the pin that rides in the track on the oblong cam) on the actuator. I recommend putting a new splutch kit ( $16 on Amazon) . Before installing it make sure the rings rotate freely without binding. Coat all plastic with white lithium grease. Also grease the main shaft spline gear. Also replace the spring that fits over the spline gear with one that has less pressure or a lighter duty one. The shifter has to overcome this spring pressure and if its too great it will shorten the shifter's life. I bought one at Century Spring.

Good part for washers that stop working!
This part works fine. Ordered it for my machine, and when my mother's machine stopped, I ordered it again.

My washer quit spinning, this part fixed it.
My washer quit spinning, so I looked on line to find out what might be wrong with it. The first video I checked out showed how to change out this component to make it spin again. My husband changed it out and now it works again. I am very happy since I had a lot of laundry to do.

Worked not sure if failed
I think it's a great replacement if this is the true issue with thw washer, but not sure if it failed or if it was my transmission. It worked for 6 washes and then I'm not sure if this was the real problem and did not continue to bother with my washer and just but a new washer. But it was a cheap option to diagnose the problem with my washer.

Was right part but broke it being careless. Bought again and works perfectly.

The part was no problem but that wasn't the problem. Check online for the issue I had and everything pointed to that part but it wasn't the problem.

I put it in and it only lasted one wash. Not happy to say the least.
