Supra: The legendary Georgian cookbook with beautiful recipes and captivating culinary history Review: Most legendary Cookbook about Georgian cuisine!!! - Following the recipes in this book it is very easy to meet yourself with Georgian cuisine. All the recipes are very accurately described and reproduced. The layout of the book is unparalleled and inspires you to cook. All the dishes cooked according to this book have a fantastic, aromatic wonderful look and a unique taste that transports you to the heavenly bush. After the feast you will not feel heavy or overeating all food is very easily digested and goes exclusively for the benefit of the body. Don't forget to buy a set of Georgian spices from Georgia itself here on desertcart as well: Khemeli suneli Utsho suneli Svanetian Salt Coriander powder Imereti Saffron Review: Underrated and Underappreciated - I have all the English language Georgian cookbooks and books on Georgian food and wine culture and find "Supra" to be really underrated. No other Georgian cookbook covers as much in terms of recipes offered as Tuskadze's book. There is enough comment in the description to initiate a novice to Georgian cuisine and the recipes are easy to follow, a joy to read and work to result in authentic Georgian flavours. I have travelled the country of Georgia focusing in on regional dishes and within "Supra" I was overjoyed to find some of the less common recipes I had encountered there - and many more I never even found on offer on menus. If you are not obsessed with Georgian cuisine - unlike me - "Supra" will have you covered in providing an authentic array of Georgian starters, salads, soups, breads and cheese, meat dishes, poultry dishes, fish dishes, vegetable dishes and fruit dishes to keep you healthy and satisfied - and may even prompt you to book a ticket for a lengthy explore of the country itself!

Nicely done cookbook.
What a nice cookbook. Pictures for most recopies. Anecdotes for many recipes help set the tone for how these recipes hava been used in Georgian culture and the role they play in the home. I encountered dry Ajika, and was quite pleased with it. Mine was somewhat coursely ground and I lived the flecks if color it added to soups and stews. I decided I needed to know more about Georgia spice blends then discovered Khemeli Suneli. Now I have several blends, the separate items as well and now this book so off we go to discover.

but love the Kindle version
Haven't seen the hardback, but love the Kindle version. I am going to give the hardback as a gift as I like the book so well.

Beautiful and personal
Have cooked many recipes and love the photos and write ups. She has base recipes - the plum sauce is delish. For a middling cook, you can manage the metrics and quibbles of other reviews. Spicy as you wish. Her variations on kachapuri are great and the book is just plain fun. May not be for everyone but it’s her story.

A Taste of Heaven
Authentic, easy to follow, beautifully laid out. As one of the only accessible Georgian cookbooks in English, it is phenomenal. It offers comparable substitutions for hard-to-get ingredients that are shockingly similar to the real thing! If you’re unfamiliar with Georgian food, let me recommend that you turn to the Khatchapuri and Khinkali pages. They’ll change your life!
