Great solid mount for the VTG8
This is the best replacement for the original mount of the VTG8 lamp. The original has a swirling base that allows you to direct the light beam to different directions, but the joint of the swirling base is too fragile and mine broke after few rides and the lamp went flying and hit the road hard. This mount hasn’t moving parts and is made all metal, so is very solid and the VTG8 fits and stays in place perfectly. Now you don’t have to worry about the terrain and the bumps and jumps and the lamp flying off the bike. This should be the regular mount included with a full metal lamp.

Front Bike Light Base Mounting Bracket for some Victagen bike light Models.
I have had a BurningSun front bike light since 2019 and when I went on a bike ride one day, parking the bike close to a walk sign activator, it fell to the left side and ruined the base of my bike front light mounting bracket. I finally came upon (after several days of research to re-find the manufacturer of BurningSun) and discovered that BurningSun is no longer in business, but Victagen is; a bike front light maker who also had the exact same mounting base for the one I purchased from BurningSun. I purchased the mounting base bracket and it fit my front bike light perfectly. I was very happy.

So far, so great!
Works great! Double thumbs up because it's metal and not plastic. Only difference between this and the original light bracket is that it doesn't swivel, and I docked a star due to that.

Fits the Marvel and Avalanche lights.
This bracket fits the Marvel and Avalanche lights that are sold in South Africa by Cylelab. Great find.

NOT UNIVERSAL
I bought this supposed “unversal fit” lamp mount to replace the crappy plastic mount that comes with the Victagen bike lights, my Victagen light doesn’t fit their “universal” mount, I have only used the original plastic mount for one day, the first bump I hit, the crappy plastic mount broke, so I ordered this aluminum mount, and their lamp doesn’t even fit it, WTF? The slide on mounts on the lamp is to thin by about a 32nd of an inch, and won’t slide over the mount. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING!!!

Just Make This Mount the Standard
The light is great. I have 3 of this generation. It is a shame I have to buy a metal replacement mount for what really is a defective plastic mount. I give these guys rave reviews for their lights, but they should really just put these metal mounts in the set and be done with it. This mount is just another one I am swapping out of my set for another bike. With all the negativity, $45 for THIS light and it's replacement mount is still a heck of a deal.

Non Adjustable
The bracket that came with the light broke, so I was glad to see a metal option. I ordered a couple for my bikes, but realized when they arrived that the light cannot be moved horizontally, so you are stuck with whatever direction the light shines from your handbars. My wife's bike has handlebars to go back at an angle, so the light is not centered. It's not the end of the world, but disappointing. It still works fine for mounting the light to the handlebars.

Flawed
This is a solid fixed mount, unfortunately that isn't a good thing. You need the ability to adjust the light left or right. So it never points exactly where you need it to.
