I have never had to use this type of tape before, but we're doing DIY repairs on our refrigerator/freezer. I had no idea what the difference was, if heavy duty was better than regular, etc.., when I was trying to figure out which one to buy. Finally, I decided that the heavy duty tape would be best, and chose this product. I was opening the clear plastic around it and found out quickly that the sides of the roll are very sticky, but I kept the clear plastic and anytime it's not being used I use it to wrap it up. It also has a paper-like backing on the tape. It's a little difficult to get the backing separated from the tape, mostly cause there's no edge to get in between them, but once you get it a little bit apart, they very easily come apart. Those are the only 2 things that I had any difficulty with, but it wasn't bad ~ just a bit frustrating. Overall, the tape itself is very sturdy, easy to use, has a great seal/adhesive quality, it's waterproof, heatproof (to a certain degree), and was perfect for the repairs we were doing. I worried that it would be wasted due to the size of the roll, but it can be used for many different things. It was shipped/received very quickly and without damage. I would definitely recommend this product and seller.

Works well to seal some age related HVAC related air leaks. Several months later and it's still holding/sticking well.

I got this for my parents.They said it worked really well to seal their window in NY where they was very cold air coming into the bedroom.Easy to use for them.They will be using it for other sealing purposes and was very happy with the purchase.Great quality and value for money.Would buy again and would highly recommend.

It does the trick. It’s sticky, with decent adhesive so it seals pretty good and it’s real metal. Good for dryer vent duct which is what I used it for. 4 stars for just how incredibly thin it is.

This tape works on everything. We used it to seal around a window ac. It held up all summer through the heat and rain. It most definitely is waterproof and has a strong hold. We had no leaks or any bees or stink bugs to get in through the area. It did not leave a sticky residue either. Great product! This is our 3rd purchase.

It's hard to review foil tape. Typically it either does the job well or does it poorly. This did the job well and is metal tape which is what I wanted / needed. It worked great, was the size I needed and a year later is still sticking right where I put it. I gave it 5 stars because like I said these either work well or work terribly. This one works well, which is what I expected so really I think 3 stars is the rating for that.... but 3 stars is generally seen as a bad review. In my eyes 3 stars is an "as expected" review. 4 or 5 stars should really be for something that exceeds expactions.. but I'm unsure how a good foil tape like this could exceed expectations unless they came over and taped for me.

Very pleased with how nice this tape is. Works great for sealing the seams in an airtight room (like a grow room) — significantly better value than the name brand stuff.

I bought this roll of aluminum tape to seal the connection on my dryer vent hose, and it worked perfectly. The adhesive is very strong and sticks firmly to the vent and ducting without peeling off.
