works well, does what the label says. I saw a review saying they were loose or something but they fit my stock steam deck joysticks perfectly fine, even though I had to put one on/take off/ put on again. The rubber is very thin, but I think that's what you want for this. Will update later if they turn out bad

These are an essential for all 3 of these items. I was dubious they would fit the Ally's slightly longer shaft, but it seems the shorter length does not really matter. I was using electrical tape before as the stand-in fix and it got my shafts all sticky. The ROG Ally Z1E has an issue with the joystick RGB eating away at the joystick, so you're going to want to buy these at the bare minimum to keep such PC handhelds safe from having to swap joysticks. It's not fun to do that in the future, believe me. Anyways, this also worked amazingly for my Xbox and PS5 controller, where they fit perfectly and make them feel like new despite some abuse from Sparking Zero marking them! I received 5 pairs vs. 4, which was also cool. I have used all of the pairs in the box on every controller I own and I plan to buy more in the future if they snap. So far, they have lasted a good 20 hours of Sparking Zero and BO6, so time will tell if they continue the test of time.

Got these for my Steam Deck OLED. Fit is perfect. I prefer the feel of these over the plastic on plastic feel without these protectors. Once installed they are thin enough to allow for full controller travel so overall performance is excellent. Installation is easy and the overall feel is top notch with no reduction in gameplay. The only reason for a reduction of one star is that I wish these were clear or black. It won't change the functionality of these protectors but it would improve the overall look.

Updated review: I had an issue with my order and the store reached out to me and corrected the problem. It’s rare to have such proactive and helpful customer service. I would buy from them again. The silicone rings work really well on my steam deck. I also used them on various controllers I have here. On controllers like a base model Xbox controller with plastic stems it really helps stop all the stick slapping noises and smooths out the rotation. I do not feel hindered on any controllers by using these (I was originally worried they would slow the action down, but if anything it just makes the rotation if the sticks a smoother experience.. They will just reduce wear and tear on the sticks and reduce slapping stick noises. On my Xbox elite controllers these work too, but with the removable metal sticks it felt like it has less of an effect since the polished metal sticks already give smooth action around the stick ring. The ps5 controller, the base model Xbox controllers, steam deck, and switch pro controller all seem to benefit the most from these rings. The main reason I got these was to prevent the white paint wearing off my steam deck sticks. It was nice seeing how beneficial these are on all my other controllers. I feel like this is a nice aftermarket controller upgrade I wasn’t ever considering up until now.

They definitely work for their intended use. My left joystick was scratching the outer housing of my ROG Ally Z1X. It was gouging the black plastic on the joystick, removing plastic and leaving markings on the LED outer housing. I could even feel the scratchy roughness of the part of joystick that had scratch damage. These protectors do work for my problem, they feel nicely cushioned and are very thin as to not significantly interfere with the range of motion. Do keep in mind that it does ever so slightly increase friction. It isn't a real problem and the product helps more than it hurts, just keep in mind that it does add a slight friction increase, but shouldn't cause any issues. It might even add more control to your movements, depending. Overall, I recommend this product and would buy again, but if they had a slicker version, I would rather buy that.

I love these! Such a simple little thing but it makes gaming so much smoother and protects the sticks more. Gone are the days of the "click clack" against the plastic rim. Slip one of these small bands on and its smooth sailing. There's a bit of friction and they could wear over a long time but you're given plenty in case that happens. I don't see any reason not to use these. Affordable, durable, easy to apply, and doesn't cause any problems with stick movement. Give them a shot!

I bought these to use on my steam deck and Xbox elite controller. On the steam deck they work fantastic, they fit snug and greatly enhance the smoothness of the analog sticks. On the Xbox elite controller, they work the just as well for the default height sticks, but if you're using the taller analog sticks, they may slide up from the base of the stick, eventually sliding up enough to where they're no longer working and you need to push them back down. However, that is a minor inconvenience compared to the smoothness they provide. In both instances the analog sticks feel better, gliding smoother around the edges. In addition, I'm not noticing the edges of the controller gouging into the stick material. Installation is easy but can be a little tricky if you don't get it straight, it may help to have a pair of tweezers nearby to help straighten it out or pull it straight if you roll it over itself by mistake while trying to get it over the top of the stick. Overall I'm happy with the product and would buy it again.

I bought this for my steam deck as the left analogue was getting a little rough and scratchy when doing circles. It now feels perfectly smooth. Very little to no added drag at all. I’ve also put them on my Xbox controller just to make it a bit quieter and it worked for that too. Would definitely recommend. I would buy these again.

Compré estos protectores para el Steam deck y le quedaron exactos. El stick ya con los protectores no se desliza tan fácilmente como lo hace sin ellos pero no considero que sea un problema para la jugabilidad, no he tenido que ajustar la sensibilidad de los sticks tampoco. He jugado juegos que no requieren movimientos tan rápidos como Little nightmares, y juegos que requieren reacciones más ágiles como Helldivers 2 y han aguantado bien. La cajita trae varios que creo son suficientes por lo que pagas. Lo que es cierto es que se desajustan un poco con cierta facilidad, lo cual tiene sentido ya que no están pegados al stick, solo es cosa de reajustarlos jalándolos tantito y listo.

Yo me compré este producto porque andaba teniendo un problema con mi asus ally en que el plástico del joystick se pelaba con los bordes, esto me ayudo a solucionar ese problema y me ayudó a silenciar como suena cuando juego. Unica cosa que diria es que si pierdes algo de movilidad cuando tratas de jugar y tendras que recalibrar el control, pero ye acostumbras muy fácilmente.
