These sheet sponges when put under water expand. The grandchildren loved drawing on the sheet sponge and cutting their creation out. Once it was drawn on they cut out their creation. The sheet sponge was then put under water. The children watch the sponges expand.

These sponges work great for children’s art projects. They appear like thick cardboard to draw and cut shapes out of, and then instantly pop up to 1/2” thick sponges when water is applied. My 5 year old enjoyed the process of making sponge stamps, and then they held up to multiple uses of heavy paint and rinsing.

I purchased this to create shaped stamps for art projects - printmaking. It works very well since it is easy to cut, then expand with water so you can comfortably handle it. It also makes cleanup a lot simpler. I'll be buying more!

This was perfect to use for a toddler class at church when we needed people-shaped sponges for painting. I couldn't find any, so I traced around gingerbread cookie cutters and cut them out. They popped up perfectly in water; I dried them and they were good to go.

I’m going to use the sponge sheets under my palette paper when I use acrylic paints to keep the paint wetter longer. These will work perfectly!

These sponges are supposed to be thin so you can cut out shapes easily for crafting. Only one of the four were thin so they were hard to cut. I was very disappointed.
