Best edc light I’ve bought. Beautiful tint and nice form factor
I have many lights, primarily 18650 lights, this was my first 14500/AA light and it was such a good choice. The 4000k Nichia emitter is so perfect for this light. I might order another just to keep sealed in case they ever discontinue this model, that’s how much I love it! Every single thing about it is perfect, the included diffuser is great to add warm ambient light to your room with long run times. I use NiMh with mine indoors primarily, the high cri makes everything look so good. Built really well, beautiful anodizing, threads feel buttery smooth, everything about this screams quality. Coincidentally my first Lumintop product, and I loved it so much I went and ordered the EDC15 and EDC01. It will get hot when using a good 14500 cell on turbo, but it’s a small light so it’s expected. Truthfully if you need that much light for that long without the drawback of a hot light, I would look into a 18650 light that can output more for longer. But this light is perfect and is in my pocket every day since I bought it. Comparing it to the ThruNite Saber cool white, I am not a fan of cool white, you can see how much more pleasing the warm white is and how it makes the colors appear as they are.

Very solid little light
I've only had this little light for a few days but it seems to work as advertised using a AA alkaline battery. It is a perfect size to carry in a pocket-not too bulky but not so small it will get lost I wish I would have known there is a version that includes a 14500 rechargeable Li-on battery since that would provide much brighter light and longer run times. The only downside is the color temperature is much warmer than my other LED lights, 4000k from what others have said I believe. That was a slight disappointment for me. UPDATE: April 2023. I love this little light! On the lowest setting, it puts out just the right amount of light to maneuver through our dark house at night without waking up the family because the light is too bright. The battery life wouldn't be long if I was to use it at high power outside but for under cabinets and closest corners, it is just the right amount of light. Based on the low power setting I use and the short run time at night, I think the AA battery will last over a year with my nightly use. UPDATE NUMBER 2: October 2024. My favorite flashlight for around the house at night! I don't lose my night vision or become wide awake by turning on a room light as long as I have this little light. Using the lowest light setting every night for a few minutes wandering around the house, I've had the same AA alkaline battery in this since I bought it 20 months ago. Never a hiccup. Works perfectly every time. I've got three (one still in the box as a backup) of these lights now!

Great light with excellent CRI
Love this flashlight. Tried many similar 14500 / AA lights, including the Tool AA 3.0 and this ones always wins out. The nichia version has a higher CRI which means it has better color rendering and field of depth, which is perfect for my use. Some of the other 14500 / AA lights have higher lumen but lack in CRI. This light is extremely sturdy for its size and easy to carry. The mechanical tail switch is nice and clicky and does not easily accidentally activate. The tail switch does illuminate when used with a 3.7v 14500 battery, which causes a slight drain over time but I actually quite like. There are many guides/videos online that show how to deactivate it if not needed. There is also a glow in the dark element inside the lens, which adds a nice effect after use.

Doesn't come with battery
I was looking for a small and compact flashlight light and this is it. I could hold the light in my hand without feeling much heat even on the highest setting. The battery life seems to be good, I used it for a day without recharging. A full press of the tail switch turns the light on. To cycle through the brightness setting, you half press for low, medium, high and turbo. I found the strobe a little difficult to access, you have to half press the tail switch six times. The tail switch also has a ambient light but only works with a 14500 battery. I also discovered that you can operate the light by twisting the tail cap. With the light in the on position twist the tail cap a little less than a quarter turn and each turn will cycle through the brightness levels. This light is very well constructed, it's made of aluminum and has a nice grip. For it's size this little light is very bright with a beautiful warm light and decent throw. My only gripe would be the difficulty accessing the strobe function and having to purchase your own battery.

Tiny BEAST
Wow! I am really impressed with this little - (much smaller than I thought it was going to be) - light! So bright and it last for hours on high with one AA battery! I am using it primarily as a flasher (with the included diffuser) on the front of my bike when riding during the day. But I have been caught out past sundown a couple times and it has filled in great as a main light when I take the diffuser off. It's very well made. I am a bit of a flashlight addict and have a collection of some high dollar lights and this thing fits right in! Don't hesitate! The grey one was only 19 bucks! I took the pictures to give you a reference for just how small it really is. It would be a perfect key chain size for sure. Get one! One week later...... Even more blown away by this little light once I put a 14500 rechargeable battery in it! I rigged it as a headlamp and really have no need for any of my other flashlights practically! SO BRIGHT and runs forever on one 14500. Crazy!

My EDC flashlight for the last three years.
There is A LOT to like about the Lumintop Tool 2.0: -Powered by a single AA (the most readily available battery on the planet) or the use the optional rechargeable 14500 Battery (which also allows for an increase in the lumens on high) -Glow ring built into bezel -Push button tail cap on/off and lumen control. -Nice diffuser that also glows after exposure to light I loved it so much, I purchased three more and gave them to my adult kids. I carry mine every single day in my front pocket, and I probably use it at least 4-5 times a week. I keep a spare on my nightstand and on mornings where I'm up before the sun, I don't wake the wife or step on the cat... The warranty per their website is a bit iffy looking and if I read it correctly, I doubt it would be worth being out of pocket for shipping it back to China (plus being charged for any replaced parts). If I can get two more years out of this $20 USD flashlight - I'll feel like I got my money's worth out of it.

Adam Savage use one
If it’s good enough for Adam Savage to EDC, it’s definitely good enough for me! This little light shines bright literally and figuratively. The beautiful Nichia 4000K LED delivers stunning color accuracy that really illuminates the difference compared to those harsh cool-white LEDs that tend to overexpose everything. If you care about true-to-life color rendering, this is the one you’ll want lighting your way. It’s perfectly pocketable, with batteries you can easily replace from any nearby store. You’ve got options for control, too use the rear button for quick on/off and mode switching, or give it a satisfying twist to power it up. There’s plenty of brightness for everyday tasks around the house or in your vehicle. I keep mine as a backup in my bag it’s small, compact, and reliable. Personally, I prefer carrying 18650 lights for my main EDC since they’ve got more juice for longer runtime and higher output, but that’s just personal preference. All in all, this light feels solid and built to last. It’s a real bright spot in my collection. Quality seems very durable.

Not bad for the price
This is a good light weight inexpensive flashlight. But don't expect it to be a streamlight. It has multiple brightness settings that are actually too easy to switch. Every time I turn it on I get a different one. It has a reverse click button. So no half clicks to turn it on for a second. I got the white color which I am already regretting. The color from my jeans has stained it in less than 24 hrs. I do like the glow ring around the lense. It makes finding it in the dark easier. And it has a very nice bright LED. Overall for $20 it's a pretty good buy. I do see my self eventually upgrading to a higher quality light for my EDC.
