How long do the filters last?

The Pre/Carbon Filter (stages 1-2) lasts the earlier of 300 gallons or 6 months; the VOC Filter (stage 4) lasts the earlier of 300 gallons or 12 months; and the Reverse Osmosis filter (stage 3) lasts the earlier of 600 gallons or 24 months (2 years).

Does this need to be installed?

Yes - Depending on your skills and experience, we do recommend hiring a professional to install your reverse osmosis system since it requires drilling into your pipes under the sink.
