Absolutely love these vegan vitamin D3 they are soy free and no gelatin. I do feel a difference when I take them. They are tiny and easy to swallow 1x/day It's hard to find good vitamins these days! I'm happy with these!

Update: I started off with a vitamin d deficiency of 9 ng/mL. My doctor recommended taking 2500 IU of vitamin D daily because of my horrible joint pain. I was tested again months after I started this regimen and now I’m at 31 ng/mL!! (Supposed to be between 20-50 ng/mL). The pain is nearly gone and the bloodwork doesn’t lie. I’m very happy with these pills. They also don’t have the nasty vegetable cellulose smell that some of these vegan vitamins can have. Original review: My hands and feet hurt horribly when I don’t take vitamin d for several days. I can clearly tell the difference in my pain levels taking this vitamin. When my husband broke his collar bone and his orthopedist recommended vitamin d I got him his own bottle. I’m on my 4th order and will continue to buy.

I was looking for a vegan sourced Vitamin D3 to replace the lanolin derived vitamin D3 I had previously taking. I had used a product with Olive oil was the main carrier oil. I found that after awhile these gel pills would smell fishy and slightly acrid. I solved this by placing the bottle in the frig. I have found the MRM brand of the Vitashine (vitamin D3 derived from lichen) to have small capsules, the dosage to be convenient. I found MGM to be the cheapest vegan sourced brand at the time. MRM Dosage was 2500IU/60 capsules for $10.79 compared to a lanolin dervied Now brand 180 gels/1000IU for $5.49. About twice the cost for approximately 17.3% less potency level. I like simple so I was not happy about all the filler ingredients: Rice flour, cellulose capsule, modified starch, maltodextrin, sucrose, silicon dioxide, and antioxidants (d-alpha tocopherol and ascorbyl palmitate. I take this because I often am indoors. I usually take 1-2 pills daily to find my sensitivity to the product and the dosage. Supplements are very personal. I hope this helps. So far, everything is going fine after about six weeks of use. I rated this at 4 stars simply because I liked the product, no detractions except the fillers for me.

Like most people, I was vitamin D deficient. I wanted an effective vegan supplement to incorporate into my routine, and now I can say that this product works! At my most recent doctors visit (January), I had blood work done again after about a year and a half. My most recent test results came back saying that I am not vitamin D deficient anymore. Hooray! This stuff is definitely effective, and I will continue to use MRM as a supplement.
