My daughter had lice and I purchased this asap! I did one treatment, about 75% of the bottle and it worked instantly. She had very little lice. The next day she was cleared! Yes, the hair stays a little greasy but I don't mind because that means that the product is still working and doing it's job just in case someone has a very bad case & it keeps killing any eggs that hatch after. Don't use hair conditioner for about 10 days after, only shampoo cleaning. It doesn't say that on the bottle but the conditioner makes Nix less effective after. Use gloves when using this product - my recommendation!

Nix Ultra is a lifesaver! It worked quickly and thoroughly to eliminate both lice and nits on the first application. The treatment oil is easy to apply, and the included comb is robust and essential for removal. I appreciate that it's safe for kids. This is my new go-to recommendation for getting rid of an infestation fast.

This will not work as a stand-alone product. It will not even work for the purpose I bought it for: to check our hair for any nits or eggs that escaped the pesticide treatment. So, this ended up being a waste of money. No where on the listing here on Amazon or on the exterior of the packaging does this tell you that it ONLY detects adult lice. It was only after I cut into the clamshell plastic packaging and read the instructions that I spotted that disclaimer, so I was no longer able to return it to Amazon (I asked). Adult lice are easy to spot - I don't need any help spotting them. They are easy to remove - the cheap lice comb that came in the pesticide treatment kits removes them easily. So, what is this product for, exactly? If you are trying to remove lice without pesticides, this will not help you do that either. By the time an adult lice is big enough to get spotted by this tool, it has already laid dozens of eggs in your hair, and those will all become nits, which become adult lice. Remember that this tool doesn't detect the nits either. It is feasible that the comb will remove them, but if you miss one (and this won't help you to be certain), you allow them to mature, then lay eggs. The cycle won't end. I suspect there is a reason they didn't reveal anywhere that this product DOES NOT FIND NITS OR EGGS; there is no way I would have purchased this had I known. Let's say I found it useful, somehow. You cannot use in on wet hair. Your hair must be dry. If you have ANY wave or curl to your hair, you know that combing it dry is an impossible, painful task. And this comb is very fine, so it's ripping out hair as you attempt to use it. The only people who might find this helpful are those with short, straight, tangle-free hair. That's also NO WHERE stated in the advertisement or on the exterior of the package. I'm really baffled by this product. The only way to hoodwink people into buying it is to withhold information until it is too late, because who is going to refund an opened lice comb? Save your money. You can spot live adult lice without a problem without the fancy electronic component. It's the nits and eggs that are hard to spot.

Nix Ultra Lice Treatment worked quickly and was very easy to use. I like that it is pesticide-free and safe for kids. It effectively eliminated lice and eggs and washed out easily with regular shampoo. A reliable and gentle solution that I would definitely recommend.

It worked but should be used twice as some eggs can survive. During the application all lices fall down, so be ready for that. Very difficult to wash away, but the next day after the second wash, hair is not greasy anymore.

I purchased this for my daughter to use on my granddaughter. The other products that she used wasn't working. This one worked perfectly. It was easy to use, perfect size. You cannot go wrong with this product. Worked the first time.

Got these to retreat daughters and self for lice after originally using the shampoo version of this. Product seems to work but it runny and hard to keep from active toddlers eyes, even after placing a bag and shower cap on. I ordered 3 and only received 2. Bought on sale so I’d say it was worth it but def would stick to shampoo version if needed again.

Best product for lice. Save yourself the trouble of trial and error and get this the first time! Used it on my niece who had a bad case of lice and after one treatment and thorough nit brushing, it seemed like a second application was not necessary. (Always do the second application though!!! I was just expressing it’s effectiveness).
