A very flimsy weak plastic. Didn’t last but 1 year

Could be a little sturdier but it is lasting since purchase. Easy to assemble and clean.

It's cheaply made plastic. Maybe it's only for grains? Def not a good choice for cereal as it just crushes it and it's pretty difficult to turn the knobs.
