I love this shampoo. It is quite thick so you don't need as much. It isn't supposed to foam on first wash and you only need to do your scalp. On second wash, if needed, (I only do mine once on holiday due to daily washing) you can also do your hair but it tends to be your scalp that needs the most help. Follow it up with the matching conditioner and you will have lovely shiny hair.
