My critters absolutely love these. There is some breakage/crumbling in the package, but that is to be expected.

Totally amazed at how the deer and the turkey in the forest behind the house liked this! I expected the march hares and the squirrels to imbibe, but this was unexpected how quickly this drew the crowd. This was small and intended for interior pets. It had a really fresh, herbaceous odor and was a dark green like canned spinach. I'll keep buying, but in bales instead of this size.

Cheaper than the cubes I've been buying at the local farm store and less mess than hay. I'm allergic to hay, and this is just easier for me to handle since I don't break out and start wheezing like I do with the bales of hay. Seems pretty fresh. I haven't had any rabbits get sick or die like I sometimes see with bales of hay. I also recycle Utz cheese balls containers, and store these in one of those. They stay fresh and dry in the container. My rabbits seem to like the taste, too.

This is a huge box! It will last you for quite a while! 5lb box will fit into a 32 cup size cereal container.

My bunnies love the Kaytee compressed hay mini bales, so I assumed they would like this product. The price is certainly reasonable, and having 5 pounds on hand sounded great...until I received the bag and saw that the bottom third of the bag was, essentially, sawdust. I sifted out the dust and sorted the whole pieces, which varied from only a half-inch to an inch in size, still thinking my rabbits would eat them. My time was wasted, because they would not touch them. They sniffed and turned away. I had one piece of the Kaytee mini bales left and put one of each brand in their pen. They immediately chewed on the Kaytee and ignored these. Over the next week I tried a few more times, but they had zero interest. The product appeared to be fresh - no off smell, no moisture, no fungus, etc. It's just tasteless, I guess.

Very tasty! A little dry. I suggest 8 oz of water with every cube!

I was really expecting more thoughtful packaging from the company. I had purchased items from them once before, and was quite pleased. However, as some have mentioned, most of what comes is broken pieces of timothy hay... in which case, I could just have fed my rabbit loose hay. =(. The problem appears to be that the product is stored and shipped in one box, without anything to keep the cubes from shifting and breaking apart. If the product were packaged to fill the box completely, (packed with no wiggle room) then I think there would be fewer crumbs. However, I like the company and love the fact that it's 100% timothy hay. I will have to see how much my bunny likes these even in crumbled form before purchasing again.
