Q: Does the camera support Onvif?

Yes, this Amcrest 5MP PoE Camera does support ONVIF. However, please note that there are several different Versions and Types of ONVIF so we recommend checking the version/type before integrating with your existing 3rd-party system. For full compatibility, we do recommend using with Amcrest branded NVRs/DVRs and IP cameras.

Q: do I need anything else other then to download the ap to my phone and this camera?

The camera is a PoE Camera that is powered over Ethernet and will require you to provide your own Ethernet cable, as one is not included in the box. The reason we do not include a Cat5E cable in the box is because all of our customers have different use cases and length requirements. All you will need to do is plug the camera directly into a PoE router/modem or PoE Switch/Injector to provide power to the camera. Once the camera is connected via PoE to your network, you will simply download the Amcrest View Pro app from the app store, and follow the quick start guide, pasted below. https://support.amcrest.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037719011-Quick-Start-Guide-Start-Here-

Q: For mounting outside on the side of a concrete wall, do i need an extra mount?, if so, which one please (camera ip5m-t1179ew-28mm)

The PFB203W Water-Proof Wall Mount Bracket for Dahua Dome Camera [https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FPNHJBW] works great for this camera and makes it easy to install. You can even push the cable with the ethernet jack in the mount to shield it from the elements.
