Works for Second Monitor via USB
I have an older Dell Latitude laptop with only 1 HDMI output and I didn't think I'd be able to run dual monitors....wrong! This adapter lets me connect a second monitor via USB and it works flawlessly. When you plug it in, you're prompted to install a driver (which passed a virus scan) and then the monitor worked immediately. I wish I had bought this sooner! Update: I had issues with it sporadically not working. To fix, I searched online for the driver name it's using per the item description - "MSDisplay_v1.0.0.18" and saw that there was an updated version available (v2.XX). I downloaded and installed it which has fixed the problem. Just a FYI in case it happens to somebody else.

Review of the KUPOISHE USB to HDMI Adapter for Monitor Windows 11/10 / 8, HDMI USB Converter.
I purchased the KUPOISHE USB to HDMI Adapter for Monitor Windows 11/10 / 8, HDMI USB Converter because it was less expensive and, as described, appeared as if it would accomplish the same desired results as the more expensive USB to HDMI adapters. However, my experience was troubling. The item arrived as and when expected, in a plastic, closeable sleeve along with brief installation instructions. Following the installation steps was easy. There is, however, embedded in the connector itself a .exe installation file that must be run to install the driver software that will allow the USB to HDMI connection function to work. It was, and will be, installed in the location on a computer where most running programs are (in C: Programs). Not 10 minutes after installing the driver, I experienced what was an almost complete virus takeover of my computer screen and other functions, to the point where I could not even reboot or shut down. There were pop-up ads, multiple windows programs pop-ups, screen blitzing, desktop icons disappearing, and flickering that mimicked the start of motherboard failure. I had to unplug the computer - both power and Internet connection -, re-plug power, then take steps to run Repair Mode and select a restore point to recover. All was saved, and I immediately removed the connector, deep-scanned my C: drive for any possible remnants of the installation file folder and executables. The restore point automatically removed everything installed after that time. Be very careful when a product contains embedded installation software that can harm your device. Try first to use a test device. (Preferably one you can reuse by doing an OS reimage/reinstall or full factory reset for the next test.) Going into safe mode does not guarantee you will see any issues because it is a safe, contained environment that will protect instead of reveal. I cannot instruct anyone on which products to purchase, but there is a note on the ad page indicating this product is frequently returned; not certain as to why, but these notes can be a flag.

Wish I had known about this years ago, works great!
My graphics card would not drive 4 monitors, got a power supply under voltage error. But this little baby works great. Installed the driver per instructions, configured in Windows 10 using Display Settings. In the picture, it's the top monitor. Couldn't be happier !!! That's a 1920 x 1080 resolution on the USB monitor, 21" the others monitors are 24"

Works great as a screen duplicator. Beware / Ask for screen extending.
KUPOISHE USB to HDMI Adapter for Monitor Windows 11 / 10 / 8, HDMI USB Converter for Lap I am giving it 4 stars because what do you really expect for 10 bucks? I have tried it on 3 computers (Windows 10, Windows 7 Pro, Windows 7 starter) The only thing I can not get to work is the screen extend. It just duplicates the screen for me. I just wanted this to duplicate my workplace screen, and it works great for that. It may work on some computers, not on mine though. I have stock video built into the motherboards, so that may be the cause. 1920×1200 is the highest resolution I have tried it on. I did come across something weird, the resolution would only go to 1280×720 when I had it set to duplicate, I set it to extend screen, and it allowed me to use 1920×1200, although the screen was duplicated not extended. When playing a movie, the duplicate screen lags about a 1/10th of a second, not bad but noticeable. Also, most movies play like the frame rate is cut in half or something. It is very watchable but again noticeable. If were you, the screens side by side playing a movie and expected them to match perfectly, you would be very disappointed. But again, I did not really buy it for multimedia. ALSO.. the plug does support audio, it took the audio from my laptop and played it on the duplicate screen. I did not try to play audio on both devices. *The HDMI cable sets an icon in my computer called “CD Drive”, this contains the drivers and display program.... After rebooting, I have to click “CD Drive” in My Computer before the duplicate will display. If it is your first time plugging in the HDMI cable, you will have to install drivers first, and then set your preferences in the program as well as in “Display Settings” in Windows. *Summery, If you are looking for a reliable screen extender, I would spend a few more dollars and check the reviews first. For a screen duplicator it is perfect , this is a great cheap option, I am happy with it for what I wanted it for. *ALSO I have not tried it on any HDMI splitters, extenders, switchers. Easy Setup, Works Perfectly
I bought this KUPOISHE USB to HDMI adapter to connect my laptop to an external monitor, and it works flawlessly. Setup was quick—just plug it in and it was ready to go without complicated drivers. The picture quality is sharp, with no lag or flickering, even when streaming videos or working with multiple applications. It’s lightweight and compact, making it easy to carry in my laptop bag. I also appreciate that it supports multiple versions of Windows (11/10/8), which makes it versatile for different devices. Overall, a reliable and affordable solution for adding an extra screen

It works but... Eh
So it actually is made of a pretty sturdy metal material. I love that black color too. You should know that the cable on it is very short, like very short. I needed this to connect my laptop (which only has one HDMI port and no other video outputs, including via USB or usb-c) to my second monitor since the HDMI port was already in use. If you're going to buy this just know that you will not have a smooth experience. It's good for if you need like just note taking or something very light on a secondary display. This would not be ideal for watching videos, gaming, etc as it has a good bit of lag to it. It's pretty easy to use though, just plug it in and install the software. You have to keep the software running the whole time to use the device, which isn't that big of a deal but I believe that means the lag can somewhat depend on your device power. It does connect easily though which is nice. One more thing I would add is that it should be plugged into a USB port by itself rather than in a USB hub. It seems very data intensive as I had it plugged into my USB hub that has my keyboard and mouse and the keyboard would barely work while the software was running. But when I plugged the device into its own port on the laptop the keyboard works fine. Honestly it should really deserve like 2 stars but you know for the price it's not horrible and for my use case, I already expected it to be bad like this and bought it anyways because I knew it would work for me.

Do NOT buy this thing! Infected with Trojans!!!
This thing rendered my personal laptop inoperable. It made my screen flash and I couldn’t use the laptop, so I reinstalled Windows on it and it was fine for about two weeks. The screen started flashing again and this time I couldn’t reinstall Windows because it would not download past 64%. I thought the laptop had just run its course and borrowed a friend’s laptop. I used the adapter a few times and everything seemed fine. I used the adapter today to work from home on my company issued laptop and as soon as I opened the drive for the adapter, messages started popping up saying malicious software was detected and the program was terminated. After a couple of hours, I could no longer connect to the internet, despite having a strong connection. Then cybersecurity pings me on Teams and tells me my laptop has been disconnected from the network due to Trojan like behaviors running in the background and my laptop needed to be brought into the office to be reimaged. Once there, I was told the adapter should be plug and play without the need to install software and the fact that this one is not, is suspicious. It’s too late for me to return it, so I’m destroying it before putting it in the trash.
