Bestop Supertop for Truck 2 - '09-10 Ram 1500; '11-18 1500; '19 1500 Classic; '10-21 2500/3500; for 6.5 ft. Bed; w/o RamBox

Tried to install but, like others have said, the top doesn’t fit my truck(2021 Ram 2500). Went back to verify the product description and sure enough, it says it fits my truck. The width of the components is too narrow it seems. I also had to tap the set screw holes because they weren’t sized right. Reaching out to the company to see if they can resolve this issue but I have a feeling I’ll be sending it back. Will update with how customer service handles the situation. Edit 1: heard back from customer support the next day after submitting my info via email. They don’t have a telephone number listed that I could find so this will be your only recourse if you decide to order from them. They wanted pictures and descriptions, proof of purchase info and shipping address. Wrote out a detailed e-mail and included photos of the problem. Edit 2: After sending the previous email the response was that I had all the correct pieces and it was meant to fit that way. The instructions specifically say that the rubber pads need to rest on top of the bed rail cap. Whoever responded to me simply glossed over this fact and said “the rails were meant to fit slightly inside the bed.” Either the instructions are wrong, support is wrong, or the parts are wrong. I’m not sure which it is at this point. I had also written to let them know the set screw hole were too tight and the set screws would strip if forced in. I was told in this email that they wouldn’t. The only reason I wrote that they would strip is because I stripped the first one I tried to put in. I got a tap and die and sized the rest correctly. They went in smoothly after that. Wrote them back explaining all of this. Awaiting reply. Edit 3: last email I sent was on 14 October(today is 18 October). Haven’t heard back and in the unlikely event I do get a response, I don’t think any solution will make this product work. Make sure you keep the box it shipped on because they will want you to use it to send it back in. I spent money on the correct sized tap and die to fix the holes and now have have to purchase a box to ship it back in. I’m in the negative on this experience with absolutely nothing to show for it.

took about two hours to install, i downloaded the instructions from beatop part number 77328. followed step by step and came out great. all parts there and everything was in the box.

its a cool product overall, easy to install and looks great and works like it should. Almost 5 stars except for a couple things. One being that it doesn't have a rear light as described over and over in the ads, also the clear window flap doesnt hook to the bottom like the rest of it did because that flap came very wrinkled straight from the box. I'll try a heat gun this weekend and if I can fix that its a 4 stars. I'm still bummed out about not having a rear light even though that's what i paid for I feel jipped. at this point ill just keep it but anyone who buys their products beware.

This is a high quality topper, but is lacking on critical design. The rear window came undone from the lower seal that mates with the tailgate multiple times as there isn't enough tension to hold the window edge in place. They should have designed the rear window identical to the bulkhead window, where you feed the seal into a bracket that fits snug to the bed rail mounts. Besides this flaw, the install was fairly easy and quick to get set up.

I ordered one, it shipped, then it was returned to the seller before it was delivered. I requested a refund and re-ordered. The second one shipped, again returned to the seller before it arrived. Now I'm waiting on nearly $2,400 worth of refunds from Amazon, which will take 5-7 days each. Amazon's customer service chat representative says this item has frequent problems during shipping. Now that two were not robust enough to survive shipping, I'm concerned they are not durable enough to be functional as advertised either. Other reviewers seem to have trouble with fit and finish, but now it seems they aren't even durable enough to get to the customer. I went with the Bestop brand since it seems slightly more refined than the Softopper. That ease of use seemed worth the little more money that the Bestop unit costs. While looking further into the Softopper cap, I learned they were acquired by Bestop in 2019, which tells me that one will probably not be any better.

This didn’t fit my 2016 RAM, side rails wouldn’t mate as much intended with front rail due to the wider front bed width. Also the black rubber blocks that are supposed to adhere to the clamps and rest on the bed rail would hang in the air. I talked to Bestop and they had no solution. Sent them pics via email weeks ago and have yet to hear back. Returned to Amazon using the UPS picked option.

its a good concept but could use some modifications, my opinion its not all that for the high price.

Read on a review that the bolts didn’t fit the brackets that hold the cover on truck. Sure thing i bought the product and stated to put it together and the bolts didn’t fit. Then Amazon too 27 days to refund my credit card a nightmare all around.
