Last longer than factory battery
This battery turned out to be a great purchase and exactly what I was looking for. My old battery wouldn’t hold a charge and had to be plugged in 24/7. This battery actually last longer than my factory battery did, and very simple to install and use. Just take off the old battery, put this one on and charge. Easy as 1 2 3…

It works but not sure on longivity
Original battery on my W530 was over 10 years old, it cannot be charged back to 100% anymore. You can compare the old with the new in the attached pictures. The FRU number is not the same as the original and the new battery itself is not as smooth as the original one when slides in because the plastic clip positions is a bit off (manufacturing quality not on par with the original). You will need to push a bit harder to get it fully engaged on the locking mechanism.

Complete garbage won't take a charge. Won't fire up the laptop

Works perfectly in a Lenovo Thinkpad W530
Worked perfectly. It came with an 85% charge.If you are looking for a battery replacement for one of the older W series thinkpads, of get the 9 cell batteries and if given a choice, get the version with the 2 plus (++) sign. This will give you OEM equivalent capacity and power. I would buy this product from this seller again - arrived a day ahead of schedule. Thank you Amazon.

Nice (Cheaper) replacement option
Hi All. I have purchased many of this companies batteries in the past and had no issues. I recently picked one up for a T420 (circa 2012). Works as expected. No idea on longevity yet though. if I was gonna buy a replacement battery for a laptop 3-5 year old I would probably stick with OEM, but for >5 years you can't beat the price for these. For example this battery was 1/3 the price of Lenovo's OEM. I can buy up to 3 of these over time for the same price as an OEM Lenovo model.
