I've had mine for about 5 years and it has been a workhorse. Its has faithfully printed thousands of labels which are always clear and precise. Machine is intuitive to use and setup for custom patch panels, etc.I would equip all lead techs with a Brother P-touch. Professional labels = Happy Customer$.

The label maker works very well. I do not like the software, yes you can use it and import spreadsheets (a huge plus for larger sites), but it is not intuitive at all. The wireless label maker can operate in 2 wireless modes, Infrastructure and Ad-Hoc, which is helpful. I bought this originally at a Graybar (Low voltage supplier). The 550w has held up great. I'm sure I have done close to a million labels with it, if not more. It's one of the few that has a regular keyboard layout, which makes things fast if your not using a computer to send labels to it. When loading a cartridge, I always pull out about an inch of label so it doesn't get hung up in the guides. About a year ago, the case did break at it's hinges, but I just put Gaff tape on it and it's been fine (do wish they use real hinges at this price point). All-in-all, I would highly recommend this labeler, it's been a solid piece of gear in my tools for networking and cabling.
