I’ve been on anticoagulants for years and as I’ve aged, the skin has gotten so fragile, always tearing and bruising. I use this on my hands and forearms every night followed by a layer of moisturizer, CeraVe or Cetaphil, and add a layer of an occlusive moisturizer like Aquaphor and a pair of cotton gloves. Works perfectly. No more misery.

Excellent product. Pricey but worth it. My skin on my forearms is very fragile from too much sun in my teens and twenties. I would get horrible skin tears with dark purple bruising from just touching my forearms on a counter edge or shelf. I had to wear arm protection to trim my roses. In 3 weeks of twice a day use I have had no ugly old person bruises. Big, big improvement. It is in my holiday wishlist.

Honestly, I don't know if this is any better than than the other moisturizer i have been using, but my dermatologist recommended it because my 75 year old skin on my forearms is so fragile it LOOKS at a thorn and tears. Tough for a gardener. it is nice and creamy and if it has an odor I did not notice it.

I updated my previous raving 5 star review to 1 star thinking Dermend changed their formula much for the worse. They actually didn't. It's still wonderful and not at all like the product I received recently. Dermend has changed its formula and appears to now be made in China. Neither of those things is disclosed in the listing which shows the old packaging with the old ingredients, some of which are the same but not all. It's no longer the scentless greaseless wonder it used to be. It's greasy. It smells. It NEVER sinks in my skin. It used to be undetectable after a bit, now I have to wash it off. My original enthusiastic review from some months ago is below. I loved it (bought at least 17 times) and now it's gone. I'm sending the new stuff back, it's that bad. ORIGINAL REVIEW-- Works - 10 stars Did you enjoy your "I have a better tan than anyone else." days? But now you're getting up in age? Developing red spots that turn into white spots on your arms? Worse, your arms now get bruise looking spots that aren't bruises - especially the left arm where it rested on the car door sill? (Me too.) Then, this is for you. I've been using it once daily for a few months now and there is a drastic difference. No more red to white spots. Old white spots are fading. No more "bruising" on my arms. My arm skin is softer, too, as are my palms where I spread it on my arms (my wife noticed that). This contains the ingredients in the other one or two ingredient skin repair products. But, it has most of them in one product. I really can't recommend it more highly.

Very effective moisturizer for thin elderly skin

I used this as directed for over six months. It's not a bad moisturizer, but my crepey arms have shown no improvement. It's too expensive for what it is.

Excellent for us older folk to help maintain skin moisture.

My husband has aged sun damaged skin from a life spent outdoors biking , surfing and playing tennis, rather foolishly without sun protection. His skin cracks and flakes easily, even minor scratches can bleed, Dermend cream softens and soothes his arms, rubs in easily and leaves the skin with a nice texture without feeling greasy. It’s made a noticeable improvement.

This was recommended by a dermatologist and so far so good! It is perfect for sensitive skin and i can wear it morning and night!

I’ve only been using it for 2 days and my skin on my arms has stopped flaking and feels soft and hydrated- I am so pleased- yes the cream is expensive but well worth the price. I’m thin but only need a garden pea amount for each arm - well happy, will definitely buy again
