Great value for the money
Simple to use. Great key action. Has enough voices and rhythms to satisfy anybody. Layering works great. Easily portable. Good tone and build quality. Lots of fun to play alone or with input from iPad. Also great for beginners or experienced players. An ideal choice for a low budget keyboard.

Very playable-best features and sounds for me at this price
I went in and tested this for keybed feel against the Yamaha PSR e473. Both are excellent but this one had the best feeling keys (for me). The slightly less wide format vs the 473 makes it more portable, and it has all the hardware outputs I need (excluding midi (it does do midi by USB)). It also blurs the line between synth and piano, while leaning towards piano (which is what I need). So I can apply effects almost like filters, and get a more organic sound (sometimes pianos make other synthetic instruments like horns sound too isolated, or "plucked". This blends sounds better. it is NOT a fully weighted piano like keybed, but it felt good. If you need a piano-piano look at Yamaha or others that try for more of the fully weighted feel. If you do the other stuff in DAWs software, and play a bit with synth, but mainly want a piano...this is good. If you like the feel and sound of this keyboard, but don't need the semi-sythesizer features get the Casio CT S400. If you want to do live/wedding/production stuff, you might want the Yamaha 473

A fine Portable keyboard for off grid.
Wanted to get back into playing the keys after a long layoff from being a gigging musician. I needed something light and portable to take on my boat while cruising and this was perfect. I used rechargeable batteries as recommended so I didn't need to run the AC adaptor while off grid. It's got some good sounds and the keyed feels a little stiffer than a waterfall synth action, which is good for piano. Takes me back to the CLSSIC Casio synths I used in the late 80's/90's starting out.

Nice arranger keyboard. Simple and complex at the same time - it is up to you where you take it.
A nice solid keyboard at a good price for a novice like me. Love the organ sounds. Still exploring the various sounds, and abilities of this keyboard. Large selection of tones, the ability to split the keyboard is a really nice feature. Take the time to look through the manual, it will be worth the effort.

All the sounds you'll need except for DJ
If there are DJ sounds on this I haven't found them, but it's super convenient and easy to carry around. The only trouble is the power supply is unique, so the many plugs I have for my other keyboard won't work for this.

Great keyboard
This really helped my husband who has always been very musical and played the guitar for many years but his arthritis got so bad he couldn't make the guitar chords work but this Keyboard really inspired him to get back into his music.

Sonidos bastante reales, ritmos variados y bien construidos. Facil de utilizar.

Most reviews on popular web and media sites rate the Casiotone CT S500 favourably for good reason. The functionality is mind blowing. The only downside might be the lacking of ‘user-friendly’ once its capabilities have been unleashed. Yet that need not deter the creative genius from discovery of what is hidden 'under the hood'. Definitely not a Casio toy as the stigma of 'toy' is errantly associated with the brand. Of the multi voices the most realistic IMO are the pianos especially the grand and layering of various pianos and string layers. The organ emulating rotary B3 is realistic. The bells and whistles of a pallet of echo and reverb is guaranteed to please the most finicky of keyboard enthusiasts. Discovery of its magic is attainable only through a hands on experience and patience in overcoming the learning curve of using the intricate features too numerous to elaborate on. Videos abound on the Casiotone CT S500 that reveal the complexity of its musical unlimitedness, therefore such sources are representative of what the CT S500 can produce contingent on the ability of the instrumentalist. The 'touch' although nearing a light acoustic grand 'touch' is not to be assumed as so. The touch is comfortable and far more expressive than the feather light touch digital keyboards. Although 61 keys would appear to hinder getting to the more resonant piano registers below C3 then access to that lush tonal registry is accessible and presents a whole new aura of tonal quality from a budget friendly “pro” quality keyboard.

Amazing piano!! I upgraded from a Yamaha PSR 232 and I'm loving all the bells and whistles this has so far! Seems to have a lot of connectivity options, and has a decent amount of weight to it which makes it feel sturdy/premium. Love the weighted keys and love the overall feel of the piano. Still a beginner so can't wait to test out all the features. If you find it for around it's usual price of about 400-450, I'd say it's a good bang for your buck!
