I replaced the reddish brown lava rocks for my fire table with these. They're nice and dark and look SO MUCH better! The size is perfect to fill the opening and not too big so the lid still lays flat when not in use. I only needed one bag...

Perfect for my gas firepit. I added some to my natural gas fireplace also, just for a more authentic look.

They are black/brown. I was disappointed in the color. They are listed as black, sure they have black on them but are brown also. I tried to wash them but that didn't help. If you are looking for black lava rock I would suggest purchasing them elsewhere. I have black lava rock from a different company and they are all black.

So I got these for my aquarium, I was looking to have an all natural fish tank and these looked great. This review is basically just something that happened to me and others may not be affected by it but the reason for my low rating was simply because I ordered these to crush them up and create a little waterfall filter in my tank and the color was very important. I ordered black and I’m not sure if I received the wrong color or if this was just their take on black but they came a dark brown color. Like the color of poop that sat unflushed for a few hours. The quality and size was good as that’s why I opted to give 3 stars, but I couldn’t use it and I don’t like to return stuff as I find it to be a bit of a hassle.
