Christmas in a jar.
A taste that transcends time.

Expensive but was awful to imagine dad's disappointment if I didn't have a mince pie for him at Christmas. Had no luck finding 9 inch frozen mince pies or mince pie filling in US grocery stores this December, and as I recall the year before I circled the aisles of the supermarket 5 times, including a detour to the meat department when in desperation I asked a clerk for help, before happening across the only jar in the store. Yes, the jars are small and 2 are needed to make a 9 inch pie. Good flavor. The jars do look cute on the pantry shelf, so there is that.

Disappointing. Thin on flavor and heavy on sugar. Best yet are made in Canada but you'll have to there to find it

I’ve loved mincemeat pie since I was a child. It’s just not Thanksgiving or Christmas without it. But, it’s became excessively difficult to find in any grocery store now. I’ve always loved the Nonesuch brand best of all and could only find this brand. It has a good flavor, but it’s so SUPER sweet I was unable to eat it. Almost like they put double the amount of sugar needed. I’ll pay the extra for Nonesuch from now on, whenever I can find it.
