I used this to wrap around a muffler that is tucked up underneath the cargo area of my Jeep. This has helped cut down on the interior noise levels as well as adding an extra heat barrier. The metal shell is durable and works well to wrap around a muffler.

Very thick and sturdy. I will definitely be using KD Performance for all of my engine wraps and the like.

Used this for the Transmission tunnel on a Rock crawler , cut the heat inside the cab by half . Molds to contours very easily . expensive but great product .

This product probably works, but it was a lot thicker than I thought it was and smaller than usable. Had it been a bigger piece with the thickness it has, it would be a lot more useful. As it's currently made, it would work fine if you want to cover an opening or surface its size or smaller and keeping it flat the entire time (simply screw directly through it to secure).

It’s the same stuff the shop uses. Covered my break lines and everything behind manifold. 1,100 degrees proof!

I have a large toaster oven that gets very hot on the top and sides. I have to be very careful what I put on top of it. Things inadvertently get placed beside it and it can melt them. This provides a good heat barrier.

I wouldn’t recommend this unless you’re using it on large areas. If using it on smaller targeted areas where you have to cut the blanket, the fibers start to strip off which makes this product risky when used close to moving parts. And that’s another thing. Watch out for the fibers, they’ll stick to your skin and you’ll be itching for a while. Anyway, I got this for my intake as the aluminum pipe gets very hot. Even after applying it, the temps went up regardless.
