Warhammer 40000 7IN Figures WV5 - Dark Angel Intercessor

This is a must have figure, very solid and the details are great, color has a very good quality. They stand and pose pretty well discarding that are very heavy for a 1/12 scale figure. I might probably do some dark wash on it to make it more realistic. My only issue is that the articulations are kind of loose on the joins, however it still hold the position. This is a must have figure for those Warhammer collectors.

It wasn't terribly hard to convert this figure into a Dark Angels Captain. I just had to make a cape and tabard, glue a few extra accessories to him, paint a few missing details (including completely redoing the company heraldry), and give him some new weapons. Don't feel like you have to, however. This figure is absolutely good enough as is and I plan on buying a second one to keep as is outside of painting the missing details. A great addition to my shelf for a great price too as he was on sale for 16 dollars (20% off the 20 dollar MSRP) when I ordered him.

These are sturdily made and should last almost till 40k. My only problem with this figure is the badging. You can see from the product picture that it's wrong. As Adeptus Astartes the golden sign of the Aquilla should be on the breast plate. Not the chapter symbol of the sword and wings. The left pauldron should have the white sword and wings on it, but they colored it silver. Yes, I know petty concerns, but I love my Dark Angels and I am a purist. I figure it was some deal with Games Workshop that made McFarlane toys put the wrong badges on the figure. We all know GW and their copyright. As licensed toys these should be exempt from any infringement, but then who knows what paranoid companies do in the dark recesses of the manufactorums. Anyways, it's sturdy enough to survive my 4-year-old grandsons handling of it so I would recommend it for what it is, a toy. As a collectable not so much. They would have to fix the insignias to make it more desirable.

Very nice figure. On par with other mcfarlane quality figures. Heavy figure with solid feel, good articulation and excellent detail. Comes with two accessories that fit well in the hands. Has a nice base but figure stands well without it. Built well enough for playing with as well as displaying. Highly recommend.
