Great piece of equipment
This is my first action camera. The picture and video quality is great especially for the price. It's been camping with me, been used as a dashcam and for general family photos and videos. I really like it. The only thing that doesn't work well is the microphone, it barely pics up anything. Of course you can buy one to plug in but these cannot be used with the protective case. To be fair, for the price and it's general use I can look past this and still give 5 stars, it does exactly as it's say. The app is user friendly which makes it easy to put media on you phone wirelessly and the charging cable connect to a laptop and is very straight forward. I've seen people complain about the battery life. I had it out for an over night camp and used it a good amount and I did not have to change or charge the battery once. It's universal for all GoPro connectors so easy to find the mounts online. Would highly recommend especially to start with if you don't want to spend a fortune on a GoPro.

Easy to use, great value, loads of accessories
I needed an action camera to replace an old SJ4000 that I use for recording motorsport action from inside my car while I'm on track. This was the best balance of value, features and quality without spending hundreds. The remote start/stop is really useful and the camera does the job very well

A good value action camera
The best resolution being 3840x2160 pixels at 30fps and with 48kHz stereo audio....apparently. The inbuilt mic is certainly mono in capture, but is probably written to both 'stereo' tracks. Having tried 1920x1080 at 60fps , it's difficult to see the objective difference between these typical choices on a monitor. This may be due to the tiny optics limiting absolute resolution. Having said this, the camera performs very well, with some classical effects available in the video menu. The water resistant optional enclosure is best used in most instances, to protect the camera. Since I will not be immersing the camera, I use the optional vented back, so that the mic can pick up more sound. I think this Akaso 'Brave 4 Pro' will continue to be a good 'entry level' action camera kit and together with an accessory kit, can provide you with attachment options for greater mounting flexibility.

Easy to use and light weight
I have never used an action camera before so I wanted something easy to use. This fitted the bill. Easy set up, the touch screen is really good. It was reasonably priced. It is a great intro camera and will be ideal for what I need. The remote button is really handy. Connecting over WiFi to my phone did drain the battery quite quickly, but I don’t need to use that option much. The only difficulty I had was uploading videos and pictures from the camera but I figured it out after a little trial and error.

Great value action camera
I regularly use a gopro also and I bought this for my son to have fun filming things with. Great bit of kit and great value for money. Does everything it needs to and very well. Video quality options are plentiful along with I love the forward facing screen also! Recommended purchase

Not Used in Anger Yet - but....
I have purchased this, because I have one of the older 1080 cameras, that gives really excellent results, from the same manufacturer (its Chinese so their names change ever couple of weeks) On the evidence of playing with it and getting used to it - for the same duration it eats about 5x the memory that the older Cam does (which you would expect for the quality upgrade), and the image is brighter, - but doesn't look that much better (admittedly on my lap top) Masses of mounting options - all of which fit Go-Pro's and generally seems to be good value (£375-400 less than a go pro) I want this for skiing and skydiving, so when I get the opportunity to try it and do a decent comparison I will update. At the price I'm OK at taking a punt on it.

Good quality, easy to use menu
Not used it much yet, but seems really good. Main reason I chose this one, was the front facing camera, so u can actually see what you're recording yourself, which is great for the kids to make little vlog style home videos when on holiday. To change to the front facing camera just hold down the top side button. U can't use the main back touchscreen whilst recording front facing, but not an issue for me. Overall a great little action cam, especially for the price!

Good quality at a reasonable price, incl lots of accessories
Good waterproof case for underwater video & photos (muffled sound underwater). 'Dry' protective clear case also provided for normal use (slots to allow sound recording). Good battery life (2 batteries). Tiny memory card slot is a bit awkward but works OK.
