I have just noticed that the paintwork is excellent because so far no flakiness or scratching problem
I don't really have time to do a proper review: Copied and pasted from my review posted on Amazon.com. I have just noticed that the paintwork is excellent because so far no flakiness or scratching problem, which I probably forgot to state on Amazon.com I purchased 3 of these (2 slate grey and 1 turquoise blue) from Japan via Amazon UK. So far, they are perfect! Despite, the saying that if something looks too good to be true then it usually is! The only flaws that I found so far are; 1A: Delivery (only a standard delivery despite wanted it preferably within a few days) 1B: 12th September 2016: Ordered from Amazon UK 1C: 14th September 2016: Despatched from Japan 1D: Received it about the 22nd September 2016. 2A: Mixed cold filtered water from the fridge with the boiled kettle water because the person finds it too hot otherwise. 2B: But the tea still remained hot for at least 5 hours, despite mixed with cold water to make tea - I didn't check how many hours longer it stayed hot for. 3: Definitely, leakproof because I can vigorously shake it also upside down numerous times even when it isn't locked and not a single drop off; water or tea. Like I said so far it's perfect and I am relieved that the hundreds and probably thousands of 5 stars received by the SM-SA60-BA and SM-SC60-HM are actually and literally correct. Another advantage is that the mouth piece, it is wide enough to take enough mouthful of water to take her numerous prescription tablets. Purchased two items (one slate Grey (looks like a stainless steel thermos flask for tea), and turquoise blue to place water into) which are called mugs. The person's fingers have been weakened by Rheumatoid Arthritis and suffered from jerks probably caused by courses of antibiotics. The person has NO problems with; opening-, closing-, locking-, unlocking-, and drinking from the mugs without any pressure problems. Does have glaucoma etcetera problem but once realized what to push and which way, absolutely no problem despite Rheumatoid Arthritis fingers. I haven't used mine yet but have washed all 3 which is easy to do once you get the knack: You get 3 instructions leaflets but for a long while, I had only assumed that they sent only Japanese leaflets for each od the 3 mugs. I'm too lazy - copied one of my answers to a question on this product below: If it is the same as the English, UK models, because the model numbers are the same I think that the differences are the following if I remember correctly; The mouthpiece has been improved to prevent it from catching on things whilst drinking. The second hole next to the drinking hole prevents hot condensation steam from scalding the mouth and also helps with drinking. The MS-MC60 HM is slimmer on the outside and lighter despite holding the same amount of liquid but the MA keeps the drinks slightly hotter for a longer period than the newest MC version. The new version also has a nonstick coating with a number of advantages BUT the nonstick if heated to > 204.4 centigrades or 400 degrees Fahrenheit (I apologize, for initially saying > 400 Centigrade instead of 400 Fahrenheit) Water or steam = 100 degrees centigrade may cause flu-like illness or cancer if the coating becomes damaged if NOT treated properly: Don't soak for long periods - just dip in a washing basin with washing-up liquid use non-scratch sponges and then rinse quickly and also dry 12 oz (36 ml), 16 oz (480 ml), and 20 oz (600ml) Some websites' pages that I have used; it appears that Amazon have deleted the website pages which I included as proof [...] [...] https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HYOGUM2/?tag=thesweethome-20&linkCode=xm2&ascsubtag=SH2054#Ask https://www.amazon.com/ZOJIRUSHI-Stainless-Steel-Flask-SM-SC60-HM/dp/B01BTX5006/ref=dp_ob_title_kitchen https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01BTX5006/ref=cfb_at_prodpg?th=1 Amend my review above on the 3rd December 2016 below: Placing hot liquids for example Tea - should probably always use tea bags. When you first get your Zojirushi Thermos Bottles Stainless Mug SM-SC60(600ml) you should, for example, use your phone to photograph it: 1: Photograph the front (open and closed) button and the lockable and also the unlockable switch. 2: Move the switch to the unlockable section to the right which will enable you to open the cap when the open and closed front button is pressed. 3: When you open the lid take a photograph of both inside the mouthpiece and the inner part of the lid. 4: I think of the inner mouthpiece as being a light grey colour that contains two holes. 5: The inner lid contains a dark grey colour which I think of as being somebody's nose. 6: You can remove the nose (dark grey part that is inside the lid 7: You can remove the top part that contains both the mouthpiece and the lid part by rotating them anti-clockwise (if looking at a clock twist from 6 to 3 O'clock etcetera until removed. 8: Turn the top upside down and photograph the back of the mouthpiece with the rubber ring with the centre line. 9: Turn the mouthpiece the correct way around on the table as if it was placed on the thermos flask's mug but it is sitting on the table. 10: At the top of the (whitish grey's mouthpiece) but on the black's part there are two arrows pointing at the top right's and left's whitish grey mouthpiece on either corner. 11: Don't press on the black arrows but press down on both the whitish grey corners to remove the inner whitish grey's mouthpiece. 12: Turn the mouthpiece upside down and photograph the back of the mouthpiece with the dark grey washer ring with the circle in the centre 13: Remove the dark greyish washer's ring and photograph the back of the ring which is plain 14: Then you can wash all components; the flask, the top, the inner mouthpiece, the nose's shaped washer and the ring's washer -No need to buy anything special to clean it with and besides may remove the non-stick coating inside the flask: just use ordinary washing-up liquid (if necessary only use for example non-stick sponges), rinse thoroughly and then dry. 15: To fit everything back again; the most difficult thing is to remember that you must be able to see the centre ring of the washer when it is fitted back into position, otherwise it may leak! 16: Once the ring's washer is placed correctly into position then the next problem is to fit it into the mouthpiece. 17: Place the bottom part of the mouthpiece into the top and then push-up the light grey (inner) corners which the black arrows are pointing to. 18: I would then make certain that all sides of the inner mouthpiece have been placed firmly into the correct position. 19: Make certain that every single part of the ring's washer is firmly fitted. 20: I would place the rubber nose on 21: I would make certain that the switch displaying the lock and unlock is switched to unlock. 22: I would then screw the top back on. 23: I would normally shake the thermos flask upside down over a sink because sometimes I forget to put on one of the washers. 24: I would then close the lid. 25: The thermos flask still appears to be waterproof even if I haven't locked the flask because it only stops the flask from being unscrewed accidentally but I would still lock the flask. 26: Some people and I have occasional had a condensation problem but I always carry it in a plastic bag: the type of bag used to store food inside either; a fridge or a freezer. I have also carried the thermos flask in my Osprey Farpoint 40 for months (even on public transport) and it is actually 100% leak-proof - You can probably ignore what the makers say about not placing it on its side because it is leakproof if you place it standing up or it is laying down horizontally or also place it upside down: Obviously, must tighten it properly and not at an angle. If tightening at an angle then unscrew the top and screw properly horizontally. It looks elegant, leakproof and keeps hot drinks hot for long period of time even without rinsing it out with hot water first (and I have to place about 150ml to 200mls of cold water when making hot drinks otherwise could scold mouth), it is easy to use although fitting the washer ring is slightly fiddly. Possible improvements for another thermostat in the range: provided that they don't increase the price too much 1: LED which shows the temperature of the liquid inside. 2: I don't do outdoors activities but for those people would require a filter to purify the water. 3: Possibly a LED, red if the hot liquid drops by the x amount of degrees 4: Possible a blue LED if the temperature of a cold liquid increase by X degrees. I don't think that the leaflets explain how to remove and insert the inner mouthpiece properly. But it still deserves 5/5 because it is well made also - Not too impressed with Camel Bak's products. I don't know if Amazon will allow the review link below but it is still excellent: [...]

ITS ALL TRUE.
I needed a travel mug of a type, contigo, thermos, i looked at them all, this one took me by surprise with all the good reviews, and the base was narrow enough to fit in my car holder, something that was not very clear on other travel mugs or flasks i read about on amazon. I would describe this as a flask that you can drink from without pouring the liquid into a cup, so really a travel mug. Press the button with your thumb, top flips open, use your forefinger to flip the lid closed again, so simple and easy enough when you are driving, no need to take your eyes off the road at all. Now for the most important part of my review, everything people are saying in these reviews is correct, for hot drinks like tea, this flask will keep it hot for 8 or 9 hours, and i mean hot, after 9 hours my tea was as drinkable as my morning cuppa. so if you are going to sip your tea or coffee, but mainly tea throughout the day, then leave the top off for 5 to 10 minutes before screwing the lid on, otherwise you will burn your tongue, if you will not drink any for a few hours then leave it off for 2 minutes or so, this product is really that good at keeping liquids hot. at £25 it is a bit on the high side, but well worth it in my opinion, the colour of this flask does not bother me either way, matt black, metallic black, although the metallic look on mine looks really well, and according to one reviewer is actually the better product overall. 600ml is a good size able to hold nearly 2 big mugs of tea, it is long and slender, really good for getting your hand around, videos on youtube show how easy it is to clean every inch of this flask, i would highly recommend this zojirushi 600ml black flask, i hope to get many years of good hot tea all day long from this flask, making a cup of tea before you go to bed and having it ready on the bedside table when you wake up is another good reason to spend your money on this flask, the sipping area is also well thought out, no dripping down your chin. if anything changes about this product in the future i will re edit this review.

best coffee flask ever
Excellent product (although i received a non stick one rather than stainless steel as advertised). Have been using for a month now. Hands down the best hot flask ive ever had. Im glad i ordered the biggest as now i can make a massive flask in the morning and drink through the day. The flask keeps the coffee so hot that i actually have to leave it to cool a little before i put it in the flask otherwise its too hot to drink - it burns you- and coffee still hot enough at the end of the day. i dont even have to prep the flask with hot water before i fill it. unfortunately ive already managed to drop the flask and its dented but still works fine. It doesnt leak at all and the lock is really easy to use and stays locked. really easy to clean, no stale smell and fits in my car cup holders though often just thrown on seat next to me. i find it nice to drink from. it would be now use for soup with big bits but smooth soup would be fine. so good ive ordered as a christmas present.

Leak-proof, stays hot, holds plenty
Absolutely brilliant! I make coffee before 5am for my commute and it’s still hot after lunch. This also shows the capacity, which is greater than other travel mugs I’ve had so my drink lasts for ages. The slimline design means it fits in my bags and even coat pocket easily. It stands steady on a rocking train and doesn’t leak at all. It’s easy to open, to drink from and to clean. I gave 4 out of 5 for ‘easy to clean’ because it’s not supposed to go in the dishwasher. I did this and discovered that the outer skin peels off as a result (see photo). But it hasn’t affected the performance and now I wash by hand. I’m so glad I bought it.

This thermos actually keeps coffee hot! One actually has to be careful to sip carefully for the first hour,. I love the color and size, but mostly the effectiveness of the thermos. It travels everywhere with me.
