This thing works great. I have frequent neck pain, and I love this thing. The USB cable is long enough to not be an issue. It does take a bit to warm up, but it warms up to a decent temperature over time.

Got it out of the package, plugged it in to a USB plug, and put it on my neck. Awesome! It works like I want. My neck feels great. This is better than a standard heating pad, that I have to fold to my neck. This brace wraps around my neck. Awesome! I think I may get small ice packs too. Update review: I’ve been using this heating pad wrap since June 11th and it’s fantastic! It localizes the heat to the back of my neck, unlike a heating pad which I have to bend and constantly adjust because it slips. I recently used ice packs in the pouch and it’s great on my neck too! I switch heat and cold packs and my neck is soooo much better! Love this inexpensive product! 👍🏼

I did knock off one star for comfort, but in all fairness the comfort is a "me" problem rather than a "product" problem--I don't like wrapping things around my neck (hyperactive gag reflex) but can never seem to find a GOOD pain relief device that doesn't require it. So it is, sadly, of limited use for me personally when trying to deal with the neck pain or tension headaches that it's actually meant for. I can wear it on my neck, I just have to wear it loosely enough that I don't get a lot of heat from it and have to take frequent breaks from the thing. But I've been dealing with a migraine most of today and made the completely random decision (by which I mean "unplanned," not "I'm so quirky and random" ;) ) to wrap it around my forehead (heated portion is in back since that's where most of the pain is currently located), and it fits! A little on the tight side since it wasn't sized for that, but not enough to think that the pressure is contributing in any way to further pain. (I suspect adding a cold pack would cause problems, though, unless I find one that is so thin as to have virtually no effect on the fit.) Just wish it felt a LITTLE hotter. The fact that the heating unit is on the back of my head right now means it has to go through my hair to do the job which naturally means some of the heat is being blocked from its intended target. Honestly, the one thing that would make this better is if a) it was actually designed for this (in terms of length/fit--biggest problem is feeling the velcro scratch against my forehead) and b) if there were heating elements throughout the entire thing. There probably is something out there like that but a lot of them rely on microwavable gel packs, and as much as I should be cutting down on electricity use I rather like the "stays hot as long as I have power" aspect of NOT needing to do that. Edit: Not sure what the other reviews are complaining about with the length of the cord, unless they, like me, had it for over a year before reviewing and there's been a design change in between--the cord is over five feet long! Hardly "have to sit right next to the plug-in" length, unless you're describing that as an alternative to sitting smack in the middle of your largest room (or you live in a mansion, or even a small house that was built before having outlets all over the place was a normal thing).
