Well your question is regarding the blades. You can 7" blades to cut anything but I won't recommend that you use this saw for anything other than wood and soft materials (i.e. metals and concrete and masonry). I do have and old chop saw that I have been using for cutting masonry - all of the dust has been really aging it fast!
