Bought this for a mate with a T4, whose gear linkage failed whilst on holiday. He only required the larger ball bush, which was moulded rather than machined. He heated the bushing in very hot water then fitted using a long crow bar. The fit was very tight, however with bit of persuasion the bushing eased on. It's been on for over a month, used every day and so far working as expected.

Not sure what to say about this product, very easy to fit as the bushes are very soft. Unfortunately after driving on the motorway for about an hour I came off into the services and lost all gears apart from 3rd and 4th. When opening the bonnet I found the cup of the linkage had become very soft and the small ball had gone right through. This is a very poor quality product. It has caused huge stress to my family waiting for a recovery truck.

Not the easiest thing to fit - I recommend lots of boiling water to get them flexible. Worked perfectly though and I now have gears again!

Much better than the rock hard nylon ones I first tried. They didn’t come clear like in the photo so I was worried they were just the same as the super hard ones I had but they’re more rubbery, and after leaving in boiling water they come out very soft. I did split the cylinder shaped one.. so be careful. Luckily I managed to get another one I had lying around to go in.

Good quality product. Not solid nylon but a bit more flexible. However the balls are reassuringly tight to fit so following youtube advice I boiled them for 5 minutes then carried them out in a cup of hot water so they didn't cool and they slid on fine, cooled and were positively located. If you don't try this the process is a struggle.

Previous order of these contained the softer than usual large ball, which fitted easily , the ones I've just received are much harder like the usual other ones .

El producto me ha gustado mucho porque en otras ocasiones la gente habla que las bolas son muy duras imposibles de manejar en ese caso se hizo bastante bien un poquito de calor hirviendo y entra solo se ve de gran calidad

No se lo que durará, pero fue muy muy fácil la instalación, no hizo falta hervir en agua caliente, solo un poco de vaselina. Espero que dure otros 20 años

Ya he probado otros kits de goma y es un calvario ponerlos sin desmontar todo el varillaje. Además se deforma al colocarlo en su sitio. Si no queréis andar peleando con calentarla en agua hirviendo y otros apaños éste es el kit perfecto para montar en VW T4.
