**Humidity? I Don’t Know Her Anymore!**I bought the Ivation 4,500 Sq. Ft. Dehumidifier with Pump back in September 2024, and let me tell you—this thing drinks more water than I do. My guest house used to feel like a tropical rainforest after every summer rainstorm, complete with that lovely *“something definitely died in here”* damp smell. But not anymore! Now it’s fresh, dry, and livable—like a guest house should be.This machine pulls buckets of water from the air, but thanks to the built-in pump, I never have to deal with emptying it. Seriously, if you're buying a dehumidifier and *not* getting the pump option, you're basically signing up for a part-time job emptying a water bucket. Not me—I let this thing do all the work while I sit back and enjoy my humidity-free existence.Some people complain about the size of the reservoir, but let’s be honest: that’s like complaining your vacuum sucks too well. This thing does its job, and it does it *really* well. My guest house has multiple rooms, and this dehumidifier handles all of them like a champ. It turns on and off automatically to keep the humidity in check, and it’s been running 24/7 since September without a single issue.As of March 2025, I’m still thrilled with it, and I might even buy a second one for another space. It’s quiet, efficient, and even looks decent—which is more than I can say for most appliances. If you’re tired of living in a swamp, do yourself a favor and get this dehumidifier. You won’t regret it!

but set up was a breeze, so far so good, no problems. Biggest plus though, is not the dehumidifier, but the company. I had ordered a different model, it was shipped promptly, but it vented at the top. We were replacing a different brand that vented at the top, literally ruining our drapes. After advising that I needed to return it, I reached out to the company through Amazon advising why I was returning and asking if they had or knew of a model that vented from the side, they suggested this, and so I ordered it. It arrived the very next day, no additional shipping charges, received a return label, so I returned the original today. They could've been upset at returning the item, but instead came through with a model that would work for me. They are good people to do business with.

I've had this unit for almost 2 years. It has been working well in a large unfinished basement area. However, I have not found the user manual useful. Therefore, I'm still not sure on how some of the buttons are supposed to function and/or if I'm using it efficiently. For example, the "Comfort" button is set at a preset setting, but it doesn't tell you what that setting is. "Continuous" seems to do what it states, as it doesn't shut off unless the tank is full. Either the pump does not function as expected or I'm doing something wrong. So I was initially dumping the tank once it was filled. Eventually, I connected a hose from the unit to some PVC piping that drains to the outside of the house. I'm still not sure what the proper humidity setting is supposed to be, but I put it on 55 and hope for the best. It definitely has made a difference, I'd just prefer to know if it's being used in the most efficient way.

I had purchased another brand (name brand) several years ago for the pump feature specifically so that I wouldn't need to constantly be emptying a bucket multiple times a day in the summer - that function never worked, customer service never helped and I just lived with it for a few years. I did my research to find one that would pump out and run continuously and this has been running since I plugged it in, I ran the pump outlet to my washing machines drain line and it works like a charm, it's quiet and my basement has been consistently 40% humidity for over a week now.

Don't buy this. Pump failed within 18 months. The pump appears to be an afterthought. Very poor. Definitely not worth your money.

New in October 2024.It worked very well.Until ... April 2025.Then the defrost stopped working.And it started frosting/freezing up.( 6 months of use is not good. )You should be able to get 3 to 5 years out of the dehumidifier.So now it is no longer able to get the humidity out.Update:I spoke to customer service about the issue.They got back to me within 24 hours.They did assure me that they will send me a brand new unit.And that I do not have to worry about returning the defective unit.So it seems they do have excellent customer service !Update:Today I received the new replacement unit.It seems to be in good working order.It took approximately 4 days to come to my residence from the time I complained of the defect.So to me they have excellent customer service !

I just received this and plugged it up and boy it’s been amazing so far, it really pulls the water out of the air and makes the air conditioner work so much easier and house is cool and less humidity. So far so great. Shuts off when full , great size for a large room. Heavy but worth it. Made well and packing could have been better but was sufficient.
