Tuffy Security Console Safe - Compatible with Toyota Tundra 2014-Current

Wanted to get this in order to secure my valuables and handgun. I was a bit concerned at first with the fact that it wasn't a "box" safe, but simply a top with legs. Once I installed it, I realized that it was just the same as a full safe. It secures with the provided bolts into OEM holes of the console. The steel that this safe is made out of is extremely solid and once put together and secured to the console, it barely moves. I feel comfortable leaving my valuables and firearms in this when I am outside of the car. It will most likely not block a seasoned and prepared car thief, but not much will. The more likely smash and grab thieves will not get into this safe and it will definitely protect your belongings.Cons: The install is simple and took me about 15 minutes. The downside- The smaller screws that put together some of the plates are finicky. The holes don't always line up perfectly and take some maneuvering to get them to line up. Ended up working fine but took a few extra minutes to do so.Add-ons. The one thing I have purchased in addition to this is an organizer to go on top so that the safe is not visible and so that it is not blocked from opening. The other addition that I am looking at is to change out the key lock for a combo lock. Other reviewers have mentioned this and it is a cheap option from the same company. I will review that once I get it. For now, the key works just fine but I did get a removable keyring for the key so I don't have to turn off my car to access my safe.

It was easy to assemble! Fit perfectly and very secure!

This "safe" basically puts a secure metal lid over 7" of your console. It is heavy gauge steel and should cause any thief major problems that would cause them to have to destroy the console to gain entry.It fits snugly inside the console and allows access to electric plug.It took me about 30 minutes to assemble and install. You will need a Phillips screwdriver, 10mm socket, 4mm hex & a small wrench.I placed a "VanJing" tray over the safe, which fit perfectly, leaving about 1 1/2 inches of space between the two.I am happy with both.

I was disappointed!! I wasn't shipped the correct safe for my 19 tundra. It doesn't even look like the one in the picture. As a matter of fact it is someone else's return because the return label from the previous customer was still in the box!

Serves it's purpose well and still allow for some storage above it in your center console. Key is larger than most lockbox keys but it is sturdy and I don't have any worries about bending it or breaking it like some of those other very small keys for locks!I know have peace of mind when the kiddos are in my truck knowing that my pistol is secured.Also peace of mind that if my truck is broken in to at least this will save some on my contents.

Safe arrived in great condition with all required hardware. Quality material and quality bolts. Installation instructions were clear and install was a breeze in my 2017 Toyota Tundra. Nice, deep secure storage while still allowing for an organizer tray to sit on top and still allow for the charge to function. Nice job!

Last night, someone broke into my truck. They ransacked everything—except what was in my Tuffy safe. The thief clearly went to work on it: the front lip was bent in three spots, and it looks like they tried jamming a screwdriver or knife into the lock. But the safe held. My firearm, ammo, and other valuables were untouched.It did exactly what it was supposed to—kept the most important items secure when it mattered most.Installation was easy, even for someone who’s handy. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another for a different vehicle. If you’re serious about securing valuables in your truck, stop shopping around. This is the one to get.

I like the material that it was made out of . But the install was not easy and it was made out to be , the hole didn't line up and bolts weren't long enough I was only able to get three out of the four install.
