I had heard about this product on a women's health podcast that was specifically talking about how older people do not process protein the same and we need more protein as we get older to maintain muscle mass. Supposedly this product can help with building and maintaining of muscle, so I wanted to try it. I had also read that this is one of the supplements Tony Horton had used to help him recover after his illness. I have gotten back to working out consistently and being mindful of getting enough protein, which can be very challenging. I was supplementing with 3g per day of this HMB Powder and despite my resistance and HIIT training my muscles still felt soft to me. A way I could always tell was when I would cross my arms and feel my biceps, they felt pretty strong and not soft. I was still feeling soft and thought the HMB powder really wasn't benefiting me at all. However, I decided to give it more time because I heard it can take a month or more until your body starts to adapt to it. I think it was about a month and a half in I noticed my arms feeling strong again and even after missing a week or two of workouts they still felt strong. I do believe it is from the HMB Powder as I mentioned I was struggling before. I would be curious to go without it and see if I noticed a decline in my strength and mass without it, but after all the hard work and consistency I've had I'm not sure it's worth it to me. This product does not come with a scoop and suggests 1/3 of a tsp as a serving size, so I just eyeball it. I use it in my morning smoothie and do not notice any difference in taste. Sometimes I take a little bit more post workout just mixed with protein powder and also notice no additional flavor. My husband and I both take it and one pouch has lasted us quite a while with both of us taking it daily. I would definitely recommend it. Give it TIME and see if it works for you!

In the interest of full disclosure, I was asked to write this review in exchange for a free product from Bulk Supplements. I do, believe, however, that this review will be unbiased. Next, I would clarify that I have only been taking this supplement for about a week, so I can't really comment on long term outcomes but I can review the product itself, packaging, and customer service. The product is extraordinary in so far as I was able to mix it with fruit juice with little to no impact on the taste. The biggest problem, as noted by several before me, is that the package is an envelope containing a very fine white powder that will burst into a cloud of white dust if you so much as bump it and once it has been opened, it is virtually impossible to reseal. I put it into a different container with a screw top lid and found it to be much more user friendly. In fact, when I got it from our mailbox, I was on my way to workout so decided too immediately put a scoop into my water bottle. Well, I got it open and then hit a bump and got white powder all over my hands, steering wheel, center console, and pants. Thank goodness I didn't get pulled over because my car looked like a cocaine deal gone bad. All in all, I love the value and apparent quality but the packaging needs to be seriously reworked.

I started taking hmb almost 2 years ago, after reading about its benefits for elderly people. I am a 63 year old female. And I can vouch for the fact that it actually does help maintain muscle mass! I started a workout program almost 2 years ago after I found that I had become very weak, and couldn't do things easily I used to be able to do. The one thing that bothered me the most was that I could not squat down to the ground and get back up! After 18 months of working with various things including a kettlebell, dumbbells, and exercise ball, a step, and a mini trampoline, I regained considerable amount of strength and stamina, and I could once again squat to the ground and get back up. I can also lift a 50 lb bag of chicken feed , or a 40 lb bag of softener salt , which I couldn't do prior to this. During this time I was taking hmb also. Then I got covid twice within 6 weeks, and couldn't work out. And then right after that came a big emotional event in my life followed by the holiday season! So, for about 6 months I totally slacked off on my exercising. However, well I did lose stamina, and a bit of muscle, I was able to maintain my ability to lift 50 lb bags easily, and squat to the ground and get back up. I attribute this 100% to my daily intake of HMB powder! This is One supplement, that at my age, I will never stop taking!! I buy this brand because it is in bulk, and it is the best value around! There's nothing added to it, which I consider to be very important.

Simply Magical.. I feel the difference right away i.e. better strength, satiety, for three four days at a time.. now to take it regularly every day. This is a boost to body dynamic processes. I do more, walk farther, sharp mental clarity.. this is like the top fuel enhancer for the body. Great product!! This is a 'take forever' supplement.

I am an 85 years man and go to the gym for 60 to 90 minures three times a week. I take HMB as it is supposed to muscle strength, endurance and recovery by reducing muscle breakdown and promote protein synthesis and lean muscle growth. Together with a few other suppliments I seem to have benifited from HMB. Recently I did a total of 21 knee ups continuously during a workout session. Si te es útil mi opinión agradecería dieras click al botón "me gusta". El producto es excelente si lo que buscas es no perder masa muscular mediante catabolismo. Si eres una persona que está en fase de definición, estás en dieta y no quieres perder musculo este es tu suplemento. Para incrementar fuerza es muy útil así como para evitar los dolores por ácido láctico. No te lo recomiendo si eres un atleta avanzado que carga mucho peso sin sentir "agujetas" al otro día, ya que no te será útil o en el otro extremo si eres alguien que no entrena pesado. El sabor es muy fuerte así que te recomiendo lo mescles con un jugo o con algún suplemento saborizado, en mi caso compré una máquina para hacer las capsulas y asunto arreglado. El empaque recomienda hacer tres tomas de un gramo en las comidas pero a mi me ha funcionado tomar un gramo antes del entreno, otro gramo media hora después del entreno y un gramo en la cena. Si no vas a entrenar, reducir en un gramo la ingesta, es decir hacer dos tomas de un gramo, es la mejor opción para eficientar el suplemento.

Noté cambios en mi cuerpo, quizá no tanto como con otras marcas, pero si funciona, el sabor es muy feo, lo malo que esta muy caro.
