Great easy little kit
Great little kit, extremely easy to solder and rewarding to see it light up when it's done. Took more time to set up my soldering station than to solder this up. 10/10 little project, great for learning.

Good Product
Enjoyed putting this together. I'm not necessarily a beginner but not super experienced either. I don't think it took more than 30 minutes to assemble and works well.

Power port requires particular cable.
Supplied metal USB-C connection port, does not conduct power from any of my USB-C chargers. Tested port using VOM and have ordered replacement ports. I'll update this review, once replacement is installed. 12/28/2025 update: My mistake, original power configuration works fine if/when using cable with type-A on one end and type-C on the other. Changing rating to 5 stars. Replacement parts were unneeded.

No instructions but was ok
An ok practice not with no instructions - so pay CLOSE attention to what you see in the pictures and use YouTube and the web for learning the basics about what you're doing.

Expensive, broken pieces (poor packaging), defective USB-C Port
First order came in with bent pins and broken pieces Second order had a DIFFERENT power port (usb-C instead of microUSB) and the port wasn't soldered, and after soldering correctly it didn't deliver any power from a reliable USB-C power. So now i'm out $25 for a silly LED board I barely wanted.

Looks like a good easy kit. But not sure if the power port was meant to be included or already attached but I don't have any way of powering it. As mine is missing the power port.
