My cats love to chase this car!
This Hot Wheels car is a great, inexpensive toy. It's fast and the controls are easy to use. You can also be gentle with the controls to make it go somewhat slower too. I bought it to entertain my cats and we love it. They meow and chase it around the house. The car seems pretty durable and has excellent range for the average house. You need to use on wood or tile floors, it won't work on carpet. Make sure your floors are clean, and even so, I wipe any dust/debris off the rubber wheels frequently, you don't want that in the motor. You also need a USB charger (not included) for charging the car and 2 AA batteries (not included) for the remote controller. NOTE: The car has to be charged for the remote controller to work. So if you're having issues pairing the remote to the car, that might be it. That said, I definitely recommend this car!

Fun little surprise
Got this on sale, was not expecting alot from it other than it to go straight. However it is loads of fun, way faster than expected and the controller beats all the r/c controllers we've bought for the last few years. The controller is pressure sensitive so you can have it drive a slow crawl, or go blazing fast across the floor or track. Alot more fun than we expected out of it; has decent battery life for the size and it works great on the hotwheels sets too. Only downside i could say is that its harder for younger kids to control since its only powered off the rear wheels, and if you dont go slow with it for turns it will spin like crazy (which the little kids like anyways). So highly recommend to any hotwheels fans ,since even adults have a blast with it.

Great toy!
We loved having this for our son.. he played with it as early as 9 months until two years before the car officially died. Totally worth the purchase. The remote is small enough for hands of all sizes and the car drives fast.

Not great as an “rc car” but great value nonetheless
Perfect gift for kids . The car is a little hard to control on wood floor and cannot drive on carpet at all. Any little hairs or lint will get stuck in the wheels, almost like it’s a magnet for them. Works so much better on just plain old hot wheels track ours has not broken on the huge jumps yet thankfully.

Best Hotwheels toy
definitely worth five star is this toy is awesome. My seven year old just said he loves it and he loves the fact that he could take all of his hot wheel tracks and reset on the track without any effort.

It works… but…
It works. But its not what youre hoping. Steering is accomplished by rear wheel differential. The front wheels dont steer. Makes it tough to control, but its still fun to play with. It is proportional control though, which honestly surprised me. But I was hoping to buy some for the grandkids to race each other but i think its going to be too hard for them to drive. Probably alot more fun on a sizzlers fat track than on the open floor. Even just use them like speed/forward/reverse controllable sizzlers.

Poor Durability
Not functional within two hours of use. The rear wheels are capable of moving up and down too much. The plastic cogs mounted to the wheels are able to disengage from the motor cogs resulting in poor transfer of power, unstable steering. If it was built more robustly it would be worth it.

this is awesome, ive been playing with it since i got it without the track. it has a boost button that lunches this this super fast for such a small car. the front wheel dont turns ,it turns by increasing the rpm on either wheel. super fun

I don’t recommend buying this. One of the back wheel was stuck after about 2 hours of playing it. Can only move in circles so threw it away.

AS an avid Mattel Sizzlers Fan since they first came out in 1969 I now have a healthy collection of them , including 1970 models as well as the 1996 Praying Mantis versions that came out when Mattel briefly let their Sizzler copyright lapse. All of these electric motorized rechargeable cars of course are in the 1:64 Scale and so when Mattel released these RC Racers from 2020 I was hoping they might be Mattel's latest iteration of their classic and iconic Sizzler cars ...but updated and with the newest technology that is now available ...being OVER 50 years since the first Sizzlers were launched! I gotta say, In 1969 Sizzlers were way ahead of their time and despite 50 years since launch , they still hold up superbly well even to todays standards and what is available in motorized cars in the 1:64 scale. BUT...the time is ripe for Mattel to release a new rechargeable electric 1;64 scale racing car ands I'm hoping this new release will be the successor to the Sizzler and be able to surpass them in all the ways and areas that count! Next Week I will be Racing these new RC Models on the classic Sizzler Fat Track against its 1969 /70 Progenitor as well as the more recent 1996 Praying Mantis versions which are virtually identical to the originals. ONLY THEN will I have the results that count...Which will be faster? Which will race longer? Which will WIN and become the Sizzler of the 21st Century OR the Original and Best that still cannot be beaten across 2 centuries of existence! On these usual racing outcomes the results will be out soon but until then...here is my review of these newest 1:64 Scale motorized racers from Mattel and for the canny person maybe some of the results being awaited will be answered before these cars are raced against their ancestors and some expectations met! Firstly : Charge Time is LOONG...around 20 minutes or so via a USB car battery charger (which is far better than the 4 D cell batteries used to charge up earlier Sizzler Cars) So the USB car charger can be plugged into any that takes a USB plug and that's good and saves buying batteries all the time ...However 20 minutes charge Time compares with the 90 seconds used to fully charge the old Sizzlers with the "Juice Machine " that carry those 4 D cell Batteries. HOWEVER ...the new RC Racers will also hold a good charge for up to 20 minutes which is at least TWICE as much as the very best and Newest sizzler battery that can be bought these days that are vastly superior to the originals...but you would be very unique and lucky to get 10 minutes of racing from ANY sizzler versus the always 20 minutes these new models deliver. NEXT.... These new RC racers come with a full remote which can be used to control the car off track and with 2 engines (one for each back wheel!) ou are able to turn these cars (or more often spin them around in circles ) but with care and the right terrain you can race , turn and even reverse these cars outside of any Mattel or Sizzler track and they are under your control! This is something new and is an entirely new world and usage ability that no previous Sizzler could ever do. But lets face it...Mattel Hot Wheels, Sizzlers, Classics ...whatever they are called...come into their own when raced or whizzed along a track...whether that track is the classic Hot Wheels orange or the extra wide Black Sizzler race tracks ...still available in more formats than you would know ...and track racing is what its all about! And these RC Racers are built for tracks as well and of course! No need to use the turning control ...just the accelerator and an engine that can go as fast as the best battery charge can give one ...and this just may be where these new RC racers topple the Sizzlers once and for all. I already know these new racers will outlast ANY Sizzler in an endurance race ...but for ANY racing car there is the Need For Speed and this is where the final challenge both matters and counts...and whilst I have yet to race them against each other yet...these New RC Racers have a final Ace up the Sleeve that could give them the honors not just in Endurance but in Speed...because on the remote control apart from the forward acceleration stick ...there is the TURBO SPEED BUTTON. OH Boy! when on any track...the only thing on the remote you need to use is that turbo button and watch that car more than double in speed! I think that's going to be the Game Changer in terms of the great race to come against all previous models...I have only used the turbo on a non Mattel track ands yet to compare speeds between models individually or against each other...but I have a feeling in my Bones that finally there is a contender for the New Sizzler Crown but even the start of a new era in the 1:64 Scale Racing World for the 21st century. All will be revealed soon here on the tracks of Destiny being readied here down under for any who Care for the cars that Dare go further and faster than any anywhere...ever. AND...for kids aged 4 to 40 ++ these RC Racing cars from Mattel are unbeatable for both flexibility, value , fun and playing , racing and being a kid and/or kid at heart ! And if you are American with your big ol' strong and mighty Dollar you can buy yourself or your kids one of these RC Racers from Mattel in a wide range of types , models and variants for as little as US$15 at any Walmart whilst the rest of us try and get a good deal for double that price (at least!) not including postage ...so go for it folks as its still a great deal for us everywhere else but for you...its a Steal! Watch for my Championship Race Review next month to determine which model will become (or remain?) the penultimate Sizzler of the Age !
