Easy installation. Works fine.

This Rain Bird Controller is terrific, very easy to install...hired handyman to do in 1hr. It works perfectly and now we know our older Hunter was going bad, this one did what H could not. We are very satisfied & price was terrific. I did not order the Wifi at this time, but it is capable of adding later.

I wanted a controller with front panel controls, but also upgradable to wifi control. This ESP-TM2 controller seems well made and was easy to replace my 30-year-old Rain Bird controller. Zone 1 had stopped working. After labeling wires and removing old controller, I measured each solenoid at about 50 ohms, neither short nor open. After installing new ESP-TM2 controller all zones work great. Also replaced old wireless rain sensor with new $20 wired sensor (part # CPRSDBEX). Then bought and installed the LNK2WIFI and used the app to remotely manage irrigation. The Rain Bird app initially had trouble installing and communicating, but after some fiddling now works great. If 10-20 years from now Rain Bird stops supporting their app, I still have the front panel controls.

This timer is a dream to install and program.... 2 anchors inc/ an 110v outlet and it's mounted. EASY PEASY set-up put in time/date, how long for each zone, what time to start watering and turn to auto !! BAM !! FINISHED ..... It will do any combo of events and times you can dream up BUT you don't have to go through those hoops if you just want to water the grass .... EZ Hook up to your internet and water from anywhere/anytime you have internet service !! (optional but a nice feature) {Mine is a replacement for 1yr old still working brand X (hunter) too complicated to function !! }

Super fast 1 day delivery. I already had rain bird ESP old model and ordered this for wifi capability. Took about 30 mins to remove the old and hook up the new controller and setup in the app, super easy, did a test run this morning and everything works well. Will have to wait and see how it performs.

The Rain Bird controller has saved me so much running back and forth to the controller to test and time sprinklers! Our controller is in our daylight basement with concrete on 3 sides and walls and doors on the other side. It was a long trek, often muddy, from the controller to a zone to see if sprinklers are working, then back into the house to change zones and check the next zone. Wifi solved everything! The wifi to the controller is as good as if not better than within the house. Our house is 100 feet long and the controller is at one end of it (and like I said, behind concrete), and our lot is 200 feet long, yet I can control the zones from the far end of the property. Takes a few seconds to establish the connection, then from zone to zone it's virtually instant. No more traipsing back and forth from controller to zone, having to take off my shoes (mud, debris) and put them back on. Saves a ton of time. Works perfectly. And you can name your zones if you can't remember which zone is which by the numbers. Go to Edit Controller, then tap on the zones below, and you get a keyboard. And I can adjust everything from my recliner or from the coffee shop or wherever I am, even traveling. I could not be happier with this thing, and I appreciate Rain Bird's attention to quality. I just hope it keeps going, but our previous Rain Bird was 15 years old and performing perfectly -- it just didn't have wifi.
