Great product.

I had done a bunch of research for natural ways to help boost testosterone, as synthetic methods tend to permanently suppress the body's natural production, even when synthetic methods are stopped. There are NIH studies showing about a 60% success rate of natural increases in testosterone with the daily consumption of ashwaganda root, with the plus side being that levels returned to what they were before any supplements if the usage were stopped. This alone was enough of a reason to give it a try. Unfortunately, for me it did not have any impact on testosterone levels, however, I have noticed an increased energy level and better mood, so it did help get me out of a rut. For that alone, it's worth a shot. I just put two scoops in a 12oz cup of water mixed with some other juice or flavoring to help mask the nastiness of this stuff. It tastes like you're drinking a tree. 5/5 stars because of the mood and energy boost.

Easy to mix with my favorite drink at night. I use it to help lower my cortisol. My eczema has improved tremendously.

Sometimes you buy a supplement and you wonder whether it's real or pure. Not so with this. The first few days, I measured out the dose and took the amount I thought was appropriate for ground ashwaganda root. Within 30 minutes I noticed physiologic changes in my body. I have since cut the dose in half to get the long-term benefits wthout the short term drama. I suppose that's a warning to others not to take too much. It is a concern with herbal supplements that you can never truly know the purity or strength without lab testing or trial and error. Of course you should take a reasonable amount for the intended benefit and avoid high doses. Lots of herbal supplements can be dangerous or toxic in high doses. The taste is bitter as expected. I noticed no problems with the appearance of the powder - it has been processed into brown, earthy powder and packaged just fine. For me it mixed into water very well, and despie being bitter, it's probably easiest for me to take it in just plain water. If I couldn't handle the bitterness I'd probably try some kind of sweetener like stevia along wth a flavoring. I'm not going to mix ashwaganda into a smoothie or anything like that. There's no sense in ruining a delicious and possibly expensive drink just to make a bitter herb go down slightly easier. As mentioned by other reviewers, the bag doesn't reseal well, but you may be able to slowly and firmly press the plastic zipper seal together. I'd still be careful not to spill it. With slightly improved resealable packaging this product could be better.

Great item

As described. Directions state to take 1 or 2 scoops daily. There is no scoop included and it doesn't state how big the scoop is. Is it teaspoon size or 1/4 cup? My guess is no more than a teaspoon as there are 1000 servings in 35.2 ounces.
