This laptop desk is great! Unlike other desks, this one is much cooler on the lap secondary to its design.

This is a pretty decent lap desk. I can't quite bring myself to give it 5 stars, but I would definitely recommend it if you're in the market for one and price is a big consideration. I found this to be reasonably priced for what it is. It feels mostly sturdy, though I'm concerned that eventually the adhesive on the mousepad will let go and I'll have to re-glue it. It takes some adjusting of your seating position (depending on where/how you're sitting) to get it at the right angle, so I can't say it's perfectly ergonomic, but I didn't really experience any discomfort while using it so far. It's also not what I would call "light", but it's not very heavy either. It's a board with cushions on it, so it couldn't be too light to begin with—this isn't a drawback, but Amazon is asking me to give it a star rating for being light weight, and I can't say it's that, exactly. I have a 13" MacBook Pro that fits on it wonderfully and I was able to use the mousepad with a Magic Mouse and everything worked fine. I have a 15" Samsung Chromebook 4+ and it starts to cover up the edge of the mousepad area, but it's probably still usable (some other 15" laptops might not have that problem if they have a smaller build...inexpensive Chromebook tend to have thick bezels and bigger builds). Overall, I'd say buy this if you're looking for one and you like the look of it (it looks just like the pictures) and need the mousepad area and like the optional tablet and phone holders (my phone fit fine in the phone slot, even with a TPU case on it). Otherwise, if you're mostly focused on getting something just to hold a laptop and want it to be the least bulky thing possible, this might not be the best pick.

I was excited to get this laptop desk so I could sit in my lazy chair and use my laptop. I paid extra for this one because I thought the tablet and phone slots were a nice feature. Sadly the slots are useless because when the desk is on my lap the slots cause the tablet and phone to slump forward rendering the unusable. Some redesign needs to be done and the slots need to be tilted toward the back of the desk (not perfectly vertical) to avoid this problem. The build quality of the desk is fine, it looks good, it’s not too heavy on my lap, the carrying handle is a nice feature and I’m enjoying using my laptop while seated. If the slots were useful I’d be very happy. I’m going to keep it and build an adapter with my 3D printer to put in the slot so my iPhone is useable, tilts backward at the proper angle and can be seen when it’s in the slot. I’ll make an adapter for the iPad slot too. My biggest unexpected issue after using the lap laptop desk is hip pain from staying seated and not moving for long periods of time. An issue I can overcome by not sitting too long! This isn’t an issue with this particular product, the same thing would happen to me with any lap laptop desk. Since the slots aren’t usable the way they are I’m only giving three stars for value and overall use satisfaction since I wasted the extra money I paid for the slots.

I wanted this to have a full keyboard with numeric keypad plus a mouse pad in a single thing but it's just too big for me and I just stopped using it. So I put it under the couch and forgot about it.... until one day when my cat discovered this under the couch and has been scratching at it like a scratching post. He pulled it out over time from under the couch, and with it flipped upside down, he sleeps in it. So if this company wants to ever use this design as a cat bed, apparently my cat is actively using this daily as such to where I can't use it anymore because he's always on it.
