Ethique Volumising Solid Shampoo Bar for Fine, Flat, Limp Hair (80 Washes) - Sweet & Spicy - Vegan, Eco-Friendly, Plastic-Free, Cruelty-Free

I’ve been an SLS free liquid shampoo gal for some time.. which took an age to find the right one that didn’t leave my hair lank. But I began getting a dry scalp through autoimmune disease and menopause not helping. Nothing worked ! A shop bought GEL shampoo helped for a while then my scalp reverted to being a flaky itchy mess again (not dandruff) My hair being naturally blonde with natural white highlights, fine with medium texture. Oily roots and dry ends. Challenge was on! I don’t know how many shampoos bars I tried.. with most leaving my hair greasy within a couple hours and flat. Never mind the one advertised on social media beginning with K which appears all the hype… that left me with a waxy birds nest where I had to soak my hair in cider vinegar to get it out before I could move forward Anyway .. thought I’d try this. Cleans my hair lovely and next day .. as normal.. I’ll put my hair up as looking a bit off (that’s normal for me) Leaves my hair feeling clean, and silky. my scalp loves it. No itchy mess, no flaking. Smells lovely and gentle enough I can wash my hair every day if I want I do feel I need a tiny bit of conditioner on the ends though My only gripe is … I can’t find a tin the right size to store for travel. Fine for bathroom storage but need something for travel

A couple of years ago, my long hair started to become very oily at the roots and I was having to wash it every day, some days when I washed it in the morning it even started to look visibly oily by the evening. I tried absolutely everything I could think of to stop it getting greasy so quickly - shampoo for oily hair, shampoo for dry hair, gentle shampoo, harsh shampoo, anti-dandruff shampoo, medicated shampoo, balancing shampoo, washing less often, washing more often, using conditioner, not using conditioner, cold water, hot water, lukewarm water, using dry shampoo, scrubbing my scalp with a brush, blow-drying, not blow-drying, washing my hairbrush daily, buying a new hairbrush, silk pillowcases... You name it, I tried it - I even cut my long hair short to see if that would help (it didn't). Having previously tried a shampoo bar from another brand that made big promises but left my hair feeling waxy and stiff, I wasn't too convinced that an Ethique bar would do much, but decided to give it a go. I am so glad I did - this is literally the only thing that has worked to stop my hair getting greasy/oily so quickly . My hair no longer looks greasy and dirty within 12 hours of washing it. I can now go for 48 hours between washes, which was impossible before with anything I tried. And although it leaves my hair feeling very clean to the touch when I rinse, it isn't drying my hair out at all. I am honestly so impressed and have no plans to go back to using "normal" shampoo or any other type of shampoo bar. The bars last for ages with proper care too - bought mine in February, it's now the end of April and there's still a lot of it left, so it's excellent value for money (especially compared with some of those high-end pricey "balancing" shampoos I was previously using!).

Arrived promptly . Lathers well and cleans the hair well . Bought to take on holiday because of the 100 ml restrictions also use of less plastic.

Absolutely love this, smells and feels so fresh on my hair. Have been using this shampoo for a while now and it is great on my fine hair, has helped it feel less greasy and I’m getting more time between washes now than before. It also lasts really well so I haven’t had to repurchase often like other types of shampoo bars I’ve tried.

I use a lor of styling hair products and this shampoo really ckeans up my hair. Leaving it with a soft and light feeling. I have very thinning and damp hair and this shamppoo is giving it a lift up. It is a chunky bar though I can cut it into smaller pieces.

I don’t particularly like the smell personally but it’s bearable. Lathers up well. Does it thicken my hair? Not sure if I’ve been using it enough to know yet, but I don’t think it’s particularly changed the thickness etc. how long does it last? I’m not sure how many times I’ve used it to be able to say as I sometimes use the Kiwi anti dandruff bar too.

Have bought quite a few of these shampoo bars from Ethique. They last a long time. Using the bar, in my opinion, I have found it leaves no residue in the hair (so no dandruff / shedding. A hairdresser told me the correct way to wash your hair is to wash it twice - first, wash it and shampoo and lather in well, then a thorough rinse. Repeat this whole process a second time, and then dry in your preferred way. Shampoo bars are a very simple idea that have huge benefits in the use of plastic.

Love ethique! Nothing to complain about. I have very oily hair and it wants to be washed every day what's not recommended. But with this shampoo I don't have to. My hair are shiny and fresh and maybe it's just me, there's more volume 🤔 either way, I'd recommend. I love the package too, free of plastic ❤️

I have only used this bar shampoo once and it has only been one Tay. It lather nicely and seem to get my hair clean. I tend to have oily hair so we will see in a couple of days how it does. I did notice my hair was not as tangled when I went to comb do do a wet comc out. As for as the scent is was pretty much nonexistent. Which was ok.

This is gentle enough for everyday use but cleans well enough for use every 2-3 days. I've used it according to both frequencies depending on my workout schedule. I love the smell and the texture it leaves my hair with. I can't believe it's been five months and I still have some left. There's no getting around the fact that once you near the end of the bar's life, it breaks into smaller pieces. A minor inconvenience and totally worth enduring for healthy hair and a plastic-free product.

I will start by saying there was a mix up with my order and it wasn't confirmed. I contacted the seller and they got back to me right away and put my order in. They expedited my order and I received it before the original receive date. The shampoo bar itself works great. I have really greasy hair and have to wash it a lot. With this shampoo bar I don't have to wash my hair as much. It leaves my hair really soft. Overall it is a great product. I gave 5 stars because the customer service was great and the product is really good. Mix ups can happen and they did a wonderful job getting my purchase to me.

This shampoo works for me. Big bonus, no plastic in landfills. I have very fine, short hair. It does not seem to weigh my hair down and I get a great lather and clean from it. Have been using for over a year and I hope they don't change their formula as many companies seem to do over time.
