I mix 1 1/2 teaspoons of this into my morning smoothies after yoga practice. I haven't been using it long (perhaps a week or two), but I can already tell a significant difference. I'm more alert (no need for a caffeine jolt to get through the day) and I love the added iron, vitamin A, and protein it gives me. My mood's improved (I'm less cranky) and I've noticed a difference in the quality and strength of my muscles during my morning workouts. I definite staple in my life and I'll be ordering more! For those wondering about taste, it's virtually tasteless when mixed in with a fruit or veggie juice/smoothie. However, it has a really strong, earthy odor (like dirt), but it doesn't taste like that at all! Don't be afraid to add the full serving amount because of it's smell, but you can always start off with just a half teaspoon to see how you feel about it. If you use this every day like I do, then this is about a single month's worth of powder. It's also a natural coloring agent which can turn food green, but not affect taste. For more fun facts I've discovered: when mixed with strawberries in the blender it produces a grey color and when mixed with both strawberries and blueberries (or other dark berries), it creates black, so if you want to get on that whole "black colored food" trend or are Goth inclined, you can make a black smoothie without using charcoal powder (and thus it's medication friendly).

I have been using it for approx 2 weeks now and I love it. I add 1.5 teaspoons into my morning smoothie and I am definitely noticing a difference in my energy levels. The taste is very neutral in my fruit smoothie. I have it with organic coconut water, organic banana, organic frozen mango, organic coconut oil, organic cacao, organic blueberries and organic strawberries. Great immune system booster. Great value for money. Highly recommend!

Extremely unpleasant taste but the health benefits out way the taste! Excellent product and I will continue to purchase it. I prefer to utilize it in smoothies! I add 1 banana, knob of fresh ginger, half of lemon, half cup of whole milk organic yogurt, unsweetened shredded coconuts, half cup fresh or frozen strawberries or blueberries to one cup of H2O, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1 teaspoon of stevia sweetener, one table spoon of spirulina powder. Blend in my Vitamix and I’m able to drink a few cups through out the day.

I have bought many ‘greens’ powders that claim to be flavorless and contain spirulina. Hoping the ‘algae’ flavor wasn’t as predominant and my whole family would at least tolerate it; unfortunately, I was disappointed again and again. When Given the opportunity to try this spirulina product that claimed to be flavorless and contain all the health benefits I was looking for I couldn’t pass it up. I was prepared for disappointment yet again and was shocked when I made our regular breakfast smoothie and my son didn’t scrunch up his nose in disgust at first taste! All he tasted was the tropical fruit smoothie, no chalky after taste effect, and I was excited he was loving a glass full of healthy goodness with a beautiful bright green color to boot. Next, I tried it on his younger sibling with our regular banana pancakes. Moment of truth here… he was all smiles and happy babbles and ‘noms’. Truly flavorless! Ive since experimented with different dishes and recipes that I wanted to add in that extra boost of nutrition and have been loving it! Its a nice big size(more than enough for a family), and powder mixes well. If you’ve been searching for that one brand or product that all will be happy with then this may be it for you!

I am only rating this as a 3 right now due to the smell it is awful to me and when I got my product the bag was sealed but unfortunately the inner seal was not completely closed and the bag is powder inside which is seriously super fine and it blew up all over my hand leaving them green but comes off with water easily or if you rub it in your hair. I dont know if it would do anything for your hair but i happened to wipe my hair while trying to get it off of me and it came off in my hair but when I wiped it on my shirt it didnt really want to come off. SO I cleaned up my mess. It does not come with a spoon but I used a metal 1/2 teaspoon and it stuck to it wasting a bunch. The bag has no real instruction as to how to use it so I came back to Amazon and thats when I decided to write a review. Hopefully tomorrow using a wooden spoon or plastic wont be a waister and that it wont taste how it smells!

Im loving this product. Feels healthy on the inside, a bit more energetic, so make healthier choices for the rest of the day. I miss it when I don't have it in my morning drink or shake.
