Management on the Mend: 9780984884858: Medicine & Health Science Books @ desertcart.com Review: Helped me immensely in the workplace - John Toussaint's 'Management on the Mend' is a refreshing and insightful book that offers practical solutions for transforming healthcare management. As someone deeply involved in healthcare administration, I found Toussaint's approach both enlightening and inspiring. The book presents a clear framework for implementing lean principles in healthcare settings, focusing on eliminating waste, improving patient outcomes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. What sets this book apart is its emphasis on real-world examples and case studies, demonstrating how these principles have been successfully applied in various healthcare organizations. Toussaint's writing is accessible and engaging, making complex concepts understandable for readers at all levels of management. I particularly appreciated the emphasis on leadership and the importance of engaging frontline staff in driving change. 'Management on the Mend' is not just a theoretical exploration of lean management; it's a practical guide that healthcare leaders can use to make tangible improvements in their organizations. I highly recommend this book to anyone seeking to revolutionize healthcare delivery through effective management practices." This review underscores the book's practicality, relevance to healthcare management, focus on real-world application, and its potential to inspire positive change within healthcare organizations through lean principles and leadership strategies. Review: I have recommended this book to higher leadership as something to consider - This is one of the most refreshing books I've read in a long time. I've learned quite a bit about Lean and championed many changes within our department over the past 7 years that have come to fruition due to a department leader who manages according to the principles outlined in this book, encouraging all members of the department to come up with and try out ideas, from MAs and RNs to support staff to docs, doing whatever she can to make them work. Our larger organization is in need of revitalized leadership or faces the imminent loss of many physicians and advanced practice clinicians. I have recommended this book to higher leadership as something to consider, especially given that Theda Care is one of our competitors within at least some of our regional markets, so not a foreign entity. I worked at a Theda Care clinic in 2003 during medical school, and even before these changes, the care delivery was pretty good compared with some other places I'd seen, so I'd love to see how things are different there now. However, having done much research and had education on integrative care models such as COMPASS and IMPACT and TEAMcare, I'd love even more to see how implementing the ideas for management and leadership in this book could change the care we deliver in our own rural medical group as a whole, as I have seen it work in our department. This book is a beacon of hope in difficult times for medicine.

I always fancied myself as a thoughtful and dynamic leader; however, this book made me realize how far I have to go, and that improvement is a continuous journey that requires patience and dedication. Highly recommend this book to anyone who works in healthcare!

Höchst anregend und s Management on the Mend: The Healthcare Executive Guide to System Transformation Management on the Mend: The Healthcare Executive Guide to System Transformation ehr lesenswert!
