Edit 5/20/23: new dock arrived a couple of days later, it works, if you have any troubles with it just unplug power cable and plug it back in, for the price, I can't complainEdit 5/17/23: Seller is very responsive and supportive of their product, within a couple of days of reaching out they have shipped me a new unit to replace the lemon i received the first time, will update with review of replacement unit when it arrives, added 2 stars back for seller responsiveness.Original review first used 4/28: Find a better dock, this one feels cheap and flat out does not work. It worked maybe twice then just stopped working altogether.Save your money and get one that is decent.

So much better than the dock that comes with the switch. Switch fits snuggly and works with no issues. The extra usb ports are nice.

I've had this dock for 5+ years now and I'm going to say this is a great item. I bought a switch second hand and it didn't come with a dock, I decided to use this and it's still working to this day. Even if it somehow broke after the review, I'd rebuy this because it's easy to use, small and portable, gets your switch charged and allows for big picture mode (TV). Ports work great. Get it.

I bought this because I needed a stand that would allow the Nintendo switch to charge while sitting up properly so that I could use the Nintendo switches screen as opposed to a TV, unfortunately this device is cheap and faulty.First of all the device doesn't actually allow for charging at all. When I plug a usb-c into the back and then plug that into the outlet and then place the switch onto the device, there's no power going from the USB plugged in through the device to the Nintendo Switch. So after playing for a little while, I have to undock it in order to plug it in.Additionally I utilize one of the USB ports on the back of the device with my Nintendo brand USB-C cord for my Nintendo pro controller, unfortunately the mechanism inside the port broke off into my cord off of the device, so now my Nintendo brand USB-C cord is no longer usable because it still has that portion of their device lodged into the end of the cord subsequently causing it no longer able to be plugged into any other USB port.I need my cord replaced, and the device is just defective all the way around. Never even had a chance to hook it up to a TV - but I doubt that works.

Initially the docking system didn't work! However they sent me a new way super fast and this one is way better it not longer doesn't appear on the screen. Occasionally it does power down but I just have to pick the switch up and put it back on there. I will give it four stars because it's pretty good but not perfect!

Both my original docks stopped working at the same time, so I bought 2 of these. The price was great and it works exactly the same as the original docks. Highly recommend these

If you travel a lot & don't want to keep unplugging the original base station (the device that makes the handheld Nintendo Switch work with a television) this is much cheaper than the Nintendo name brand part. It is ONLY the UNIT. You still need a power supply (USB-C . . . just like most phone chargers) as well as an HDMI cord to connect it to the television. Once it is plugged into a power supply, it has 2 USB ports to plug external wireless controllers & charge the controllers as well as pairing the controllers with the Nintendo Switch. If you travel or have kids that play the Switch this is worth the time & money to keep the original base station hooked up to the television at home & use THIS device (along with the not included HDMI & USB-C charging cable) to play the Nintendo Switch on a television on the road. I recommend keeping the original box & packaging to keep the unit protected from getting gummed up or smashed while being transported but early indications are this is a good alternative to the more expensive Nintendo brand base unit. I do not post many reviews & if something goes wrong with a purchase I can be critical to the seller or the manufacturer but I am happy with this product & my purchase.Much smaller than Nintendo Switch name brand Base Station which makes it more portable by design. I had it hooked up to a television ready to play games on a large screen in less than 5 minutes.Plug a USB-C charging cable into this device, plug an HDMI cord into a television & this device, & plug a USB powered WIRELESS CONTROLLER (or a USB WIRED CONTROLLER) & play video games in a hotel, or friend's house, or any other place that has an HDMI adapted TV & happy playing.

6 month review. This initially worked great. Now, 6 months later, it still connects just fine but no longer charges the switch. I tried multiple USB cables and multiple chargers, fast or slow didn't matter. Once plugged in (at 20%), you can see that it charges for a second, then stops for about a minute, then charges for a second and repeat. 2 stars down since it won't charge and it only lasted 6 months
