I was actually very amazed at how well this beard conditioner worked. After trying so many others I had nearly come to the point of giving up on the use of beard conditioners as nothing more than a waste of money and time. I have in the past used other Detroit products finding that their beard butters are extremely good. However good they were, certain scents were in my opinion were terrible. Because of this and some of the reviews I was hesitant to try the conditioner. First thing I noticed was how creamy the conditioner is. It has a good texture and works well into my beard. Secondly, the scent is mildly pleasant but very light and almost impossible for me to detect. And lastly, once rinsed out after three minutes of sitting in my beard I was absolutely amazed at how well it worked. With this said, from a conditioning standpoint, this conditioner is a bases loaded home run. Excellent beyond words. From a scent standpoint, cedar and amber are a winning combination. Cedar is a very pronounced scent that is absolutely unmistakable while amber is a very warm and sweet scent. These two scents pair very well together. I don’t get that from this conditioner. The scent is very underwhelming and I can’t make out what it actually smells like; not cedar and amber. I think the other ingredients used are messing with the scent profile. I also would like to add that the scent is not terrible. Overall, I personally believe I have found my go to beard conditioner and will be using this from now on. It meets a good price point for the what is in the ingredients list and works very well. I would like to try one other to compare but it is a bit more costly and the description of its scent does not sound like something I would like at all.

I haven’t always conditioned my beard, but as I’ve gotten older it seems like my beard is getting dry. I already use the same brands beard oil whenever I shampoo my beard, and the beard balm when I get ready in the morning, so I figured I’d try the conditioner and it’s everything I hoped it would be. The scent is just a bit overpowering when you first apply it, but that’s because you want it stay even after you rinse it out. A little of this goes a very long way. If you’re looking for a great conditioner with a great scent, you’d be happy with this. My partner loves to just bury her face in my beard when it’s this soft and smells this nice, and I can’t argue with those results.

I had an issue with the shipment and contacted seller for support and they did a phenomenal job. Fast answer, willing to help me and solve the problem, great job! The product is great, not my preference on the scent, but the result on my beard was really good. Will try a different scent next time.

Always purchase Detroit Beard company products for my beard, but I'm not a fan of the packaging on this item anymore. Now that they removed the pump, it's hard to actually get the conditioner out of the bottle. The conditioner is really great, but I think it's too thick for the bottle they are now using.
