I bought this for my nephew for Christmas. Trying to get him ready for our real fishing adventures, oh yes, sissy has an agenda! He loved it! He chose to play with it rather than the Mickey toy he had actually cried for! The magnets are a little small, you have to be pretty precise to get one, but maybe that helps with fine motor skills. The reels clicked so that was fun. After about an hour or so of play, I found a pole with a damaged line. It looks like it got snagged in a crack somewhere and they kept reeling and unraveled some of the line. The pole has screws I can see so I think I can restring it for him, maybe use something a little more durable. Still a good value for the money. If they would have just brought it to an adult it wouldn’t be damaged. The telescoping pole was fun and it has a convenient bag you can store everything in. My nephew loved the nets. I taught him “fish on!” It was great!

My grandson loved the products but you have to supervise your children when they play with this. The string from the fishing rod can be a safety hazard for children. My grandson wrapped it around his neck, so please be very careful. I had to cut the string shorter on the fishing rods to prevent another scary incident as this. Thank God I saw my grandson when this happened but it did scare me a lot. The quality of the fishing toy is very good apart from the one important issue that I mentioned above.

I’m torn how to review this. This is our first time using it so I may need to update after some play. The fish are definitely different than the pictures provided and more cheap looking with the painted accents. The fishing poles and reels seem to be decent quality thus far. Giving it a 3 because the kids are enjoying it this morning but I’m not sure on durability. I do like that the poles collapse and they have a carrying bag for all the items.

It’s a super cute set, unfortunately the quality is not so great. Cheaply made, that magnets were loose upon opening and within 5 minutes both had broken off the fishing pole. Editing to add: the customer service was amazing, after reaching out, they were quick to give me a few options to make it right. We ultimately chose the replacement since my kids enjoyed it so much!
