Mmm
Oh. My. God. Rarely do i write reviews, but this tea is so good, I had to drop 5 more stars in their bucket. Ive never had Pu-erh tea, and I expected it to be heavy and a little bitter, but I was very wrong. Its light and flavorful, very mellow and smooth. Sooo good.

Delicious tea!
I love this company and the tea is delicious. The quality is amazing and it's very strong. The flavor is smooth and delicious and it is definitely worth the money. I would love to be a rep for Numi because I love all of their teas.

Good tea, slight different taste from Early Gray, but not chocolatey
This only has a slight difference in taste than the aged Early Grey. There is this slight aftertaste, more noticeable when you drink it cold. Looks like a lot of people love it, but for me, I'd rather just have a morning blend or Earl Greay. Listed as one of, if not the cleanest tea, and tea bags out there.

Smooth, Flavorful, and Comforting—My Daily Go-To Tea
This has quickly become my new favorite daily tea. The combination of rich pu-erh with cocoa and a hint of sweet orange peel makes it taste smooth, slightly earthy, and a little indulgent without being too heavy. It feels like a treat, but also gives me a nice, steady caffeine lift to start my day or keep me going in the afternoon. I love that it’s organic and high quality, and the flavor balance is spot on—not too bitter, not too sweet, just perfectly rounded. Out of all the teas I’ve tried recently, this is the one I find myself reaching for every day without hesitation.

Bad Smell but Great Taste! Both Way Better Made As a Chai
This is the first pu-erh tea I have ever tried, so I will do my best to describe it. The smell is weird out of package, then you brew it and it is worse, an almost rotten scent but not putrid. The taste is a strange savory watery chocolatey black tea with spice notes, that the tea is a stronger tea flavor you can taste the extra fermentation...but it is a taste that halfway through your first cup you begin to love. I know this tea is a cut down version of a true pure pu-erh tea, since it is cut with many other flavors and the sweet nonbitter roobois tea, but this is as strong of a pu-erh tea as I think I could drink. If a full bodied pure pu-erh tea was more rotten smelling to the point it also tasted that way...then I just couldn't do it. This is a much better introduction or beginner level to that kind of tea, this one has a good taste. I tried this tea many ways before writing this review; I tried it 1 bag to 1 cup water nothing else added (it was good, by end I wanted more), 2 bags to 1 cup water tried it a bit (the smell and taste were double strong, taste ok but smell worse)...then added some sugar and tried it a bit more (even better with sugar, even the smell improves, seems more chocolatey with sugar...a white chocolate to light hot chocolate flavor...near bottom of mug is when you get deeper richer dark chocolate flavors)...then added some organic half n half till it looked color of he-man (now it smelled more like a chai tea, seemed more chocolatey n spicy and fermented taste was basically gone or changed to blend and be almost unnoticeable)...then I used 1 tea bag to 1 cup water then added sugar and half n half to see if as good...and it was very enjoyable :) not as strong as with 2 bags, less chocolatey tasting and more chai tea spicy tasting. So in all I found I really like this tea in every way I tried it, so it is a winner for me :) I just don't hold my mug under my nose when not drinking this tea. Lol.

Poor Quality tea
I have been drinking Numi Emperor's Pu-erh black tea for over 4 years. I am so disappointed in the quality of the tea. The tea is now weak and tasteless. The tea has always been flavorful, full bodied black tea, now it's like drinking generic tea at a premium price. I have almost 2 boxes and I will not be reordering this tea in the future. Very disappointing the quality.

Not a terrible daily drinker!
My first impressions we're not that great. But... I gave it a bit of chance to fully develop and it's smooth and malty! For an affordable Pu Erh it's not bad! Good for a daily drinker. It won't blow your mind, but it's pleasantly decent!

It is a nice tea, but it has a very weak flavour for me.

It is a horrible tasting tea. It says chocolate. Just one question. Where is the chocolate taste? It has nothing to do with chocolate nor tea. Very disappointed.

Good tea; massively overpriced; especially the postage.
