There’s nothing to see here... Don’t waste your $$.
I purchased this as a gift for my boyfriend. I received it 7/22/2020. I gave it to him about 3 weeks later. He installed it on his work bench, and on his first use, 9/3/2020, it broke. Less than 2 months. Completely un-usable. How embarrassing for me, and irritating for him. Don’t waste your money.

**WARNING PIECE OF CRAP VICE BREAKS**
DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF CRAP!!! I bought it 8/13 installed it on my bench finally used it 10/10 and the threaded vice cast iron tightener that screws in broke right off when tightening it down to clamp material. That's why a better vise cost more live and learn check out the reviews too bad I can't return it the return time is expired.

Its like Fast Food
You know how you go to your favorite fast food place and how the pictures on the menu look SOOOO Much better than reality? This is exactly that experience.. What you see pictured is the vise all "clean" what you will receive is a working vice covered in dirt and grease and all sorts of god knows what on the surface.. There were brown yucky oily sticky film / stains in which I had to use ... gasoline (great solvent) to remove prior to bolting it down on the work top.I purchased this just for basic DIY home use and has successfully gripped onto a dowel (from my snow blower) so I can cut threads at the ends so I can bolt on the wheels as the original part uses a compression cap that ALWAYS falls out in the snow and the wheel then falls off.The vice grip.. didnt hold the dowel well.. Had to use additional vice grip to keep it from spinning while using the die to make new threads. For the home DIYer.. it'll suit my needs.. but I would definitely look elsewhere for another product in the future. Eventually this will just go into the trash.

Perfect for Gunsmith..
I bought this vise to do some basic gunsmith work like change pistol sights, work on rifle barrels etc. For my purpose it is a perfect vise. For hardcore work I would look at something bigger but if you want a good vise for gunsmith work it's the perfect size and very good quality.

I can't only give a partial review at this time.
I bought these for gifts for my sons. They were very pleased. They look strong for a small type vise, and seem to be well made. But only time will tell. I have a larger and different brand vise that I frequently use. I will say that the boxes these came in were destroyed. They were shredded, tapped to the heavens and shredded again. I guess that is typical of heavy objects in heavy shipping times. I had to get other boxes to put these in as gifts, because both the main carton and inner boxes were not fit to use as gift containers. I do not blame the seller for this, it is just the way heavy objects get treated when the delivery company is tired, overworked, and probably physically sore from the toil. I really do understand.
