Sitting wrapped in a space blanket has always seemed to me to be problematic for keeping warm in the outdoors. since you would have to hold it in place. By making the blanket into this simple garment, that problem is dealt with. More expensive as a result, but that's fair enough to benefit the innovators.

So, I purchased these out of all the others bc of the reviews. I bought this to give to a homeless man. I understand that this isn’t durable, like a winter jacket, but it does say that it is reusable, and it’s made for OUTDOORS, however within less than an hour of him putting it on, it ripped! He also said that bc it did NOT have arms (that was the reason I bought it, to give room around the arm area) that the wind went underneath and through that opening and so he did NOT feel warm.I thought from looking at the pics & reading the description that it seemed more durable than some of the others but it wasn’t.I was a bit disappointed bc I wanted to help HIM but what if it were an emergency case? It didn’t do what it said it was going to do!
